DESPITE ALL OF THE FUSS everybody else began to make upon realizing that Rebecca had gone into an early labour – the pregnant witch herself was rather calm about the whole ordeal. Especially when she kept her focus elsewhere and not on the thoughts of incoming discomfort or pain she was bound to experience in the later hours. Peering around awkwardly, now having been surrounded by nearly everybody in attendance, she watched in a slight amusement as Sirius began to panic as if he were the one about to give birth – having to be smacked upside the head by both Andromeda and Narcissa as Remus only rolled his eyes at the dramatics and sighed.
"Riiight," Rebecca cleared her throat awkwardly, blinking slowly as she scanned the group of panicked faces, "shall we begin eating, opening presents, or –?"
"You're going to have a baby," Ron blurted out abruptly, his eyes extremely wide, "the last thing you should be thinking about is Harry opening bloody birthday presents."
"He's right," Andromeda interjected with a small smile, "even if you don't feel it now, you will soon enough, and it's best to just wait it out at the hospital instead of accidentally having to have the baby here."
"Then all of you should stay here and –"
There was a sudden chorus of shouts and protests from the large group of party guests, making a great bubble of amusement flash across Rebecca's features; her eyebrows raising in amusement with a slightly smug smile.
"Absolutely not!" Remus was the one to interject over all others, still bouncing a gurgling Teddy in his arms with a bewildered expression, "you're not going alone –"
"I won't be alone," She insisted, stepping around both Ginny and Cedric with reassuring smiles, grasping at Fred's hand and shaking their joint hands midway in the air, "I've got the baby's very handsome father right here," None of them look persuaded, "so, he might be in a bit of shock at the moment but he's still gonna be there."
"At least let someone –"
"I am not choosing just one person to come along," Rebecca stated simply, her voice still firm as she cut off Sirius, "you all can come along once it's far closer in time for me to actually have the baby – so you all just stay here with Harry and –"
"Harry has decided he's tagging along," The celebratory birthday boy exclaimed suddenly, "you really think we'd all be able to just sit here and try to celebrate a bloody birthday when you're to have a baby miles away? I thought you were a Ravenclaw —"
