BY THE TIME HALLOWEEN had rolled around that year, it was still a rather dull affair much to their displeasure. Even to Scarlett, who usually loved with the holiday and wished to dress up Roxy in a cute costume to celebrate one of her firsts – had fell short of her usual chipper attitude. Though, they all had still tried to keep their spirits up, decorating the flat with faux spider webbing and twinkling orange lights. They had even carved pumpkins and baked cutely shaped biscuits. And still, despite all the temporary laughter and happiness, it wouldn't be like any other day if it wasn't suddenly turned on a dime and sparking fear in their chests. An owl had swooped down like a bullet, perching itself atop the window sill and tapping the glass with it's beak repeatedly.

"I've got it," George uttered after a moment, gripping onto his wand tightly and moving away from Roxy who sat atop the counter, shoveling royal frosting into her mouth, "it's probably from Mum again."

The younger half of the Weasley twins easily maneuvered around the kitchen, stepping up to the far window and unlatching the lock to swing it open. The barn owl hopped around a bit, hooting before climbing inside before George shut the latch behind him. In a trade of owl treats for the green envelope, he sliced open the top to fish out the folded letter.

"Who's it from?" Fred questioned, the three of them all watching the wizard read the entirety of the letter.

"It's from Ciara," George stated lowly, looking to Scarlett who now stood by their daughter at the counter, "she's asking about...us going to stay with her."

"Oh." Scarlett murmured, risking a tentative glance towards the opposite couple before quickly looking away and back to her boyfriend.

"She wants to speak with us in person," He continued after a moment's hesitation, "she's asked if we can head over, and if then, that she could have everything ready for us..."

The couple made silent words between looks, almost telepathically speaking with shifty glances, "Well, I don't see the point in keeping her waiting," The blonde spoke quietly, "let's just head over now."

"Do you both mind watching Roxy for a while?" Scarlett peered towards the couple opposite from her, growing weary, "just...just in case..."

Sensing that Fred was suddenly too upset to speak, Rebecca cleared her throat quietly and nodded, "Yeah, of course we can," She flashed a meek smile, reaching forward to gently pull the seated baby closer to herself, "we'll be here...eating all the biscuits we can before you lot get back."

It didn't take long for the young parents to pull on some cloaks and be doused in Disillusionment Charms. They both had taken a moment to say quiet goodbyes to their daughter, pressing kisses and murmuring words into her forehead. The oblivious baby only waved in return, clutching onto the stuffed bunny from her birthday in one hand. Little chestnut eyes watching as both her parents left the protection of their home, heading out into the dark of night. Fred had taken to replacing the wards, silently and swiftly before he returned to the girls' sides and sat on a stool.
