THE TIME TICKED BY TOO slowly, the cloak of night now in full swing and lightning bugs darting between blades of the long, swaying grass. Each increment of five minutes passed like a kidney stone – painful and in every way agonizing, feeling as if it took hours rather than the short time it really was. The Order's group would've most likely been arriving in its entirety to Privet Drive, just barely scraping by the half hour mark. Rebecca could almost picture perfectly it in her mind, disassociating in her spot with her chin tucked into the crook of her elbow as she rested both her arms on her knees. Harry would light up like a Christmas tree at the sight of them all, hugging 'Mione and Ron then greeting Bill, Fleur, and Remus happily alongside Mad-Eye and Kingsley and Hagrid.

The rest of The Order was spread out and stationed elsewhere, waiting amongst one of twelve safe houses. Each of the members waiting for their Harry duplicate and their respective protectors. Her and Sirius had yet to go back into the house, both far too stubborn to give in and far too prideful to admit they were scared – even to each other – of what was yet to come. They both sat on the porch out back, side by side, on the top of the steps and in silence. Sirius kept his gaze to the sky, his lips moving incoherently and with no sound escaping from them, like he was in a trace of some sort of silent prayer. Rebecca kept her gaze forward to the night's horizon, blindly taking her father's hand and lacing their fingers with the sound of a shaky breath.

He had taken a meek glance to his wrist watch, immediately shutting his eyes and taking in a breath before opening them once again, "It's passed time," Sirius whispered, swallowing down the large, growing lump in his throat and squeezing her hand gently, "it's past time – Tonks and Ron should've gotten back already."

It seemed that Ginny had been keeping time as well, seeing as the young redhead had come running out of the house and was immediately staring up to the darkened sky. Within a blink of an eye and a small flash of blue, a rusty oil can had appeared mid-air before falling to the ground by its lonesome. The grass beneath it flattened, and there was no sign of Tonks nor Ron and certainly none of the others. Both Rebecca and Sirius shook upon shaky legs, gripping onto each other like they would disappear into nothingness if they'd let go. Molly was next to rush out of The Burrow – her eyes already glossing over and Scarlett hot on her trail with Roxy in her arms. Each of them stared out into the sky too, hearts beating rapidly within their chests in fear.

Rebecca glanced down to her father's watch again, letting the moonlight illuminate the watch's face and keep track of the seconds. Her gaze never faltered, watching intently as each tick sounded; hearing each one grow louder and louder in her ears as she kept a hardened look at it. Sirius was still staring upward. His eyes seemed to gloss over then, his adams apple bobbing with each harsh swallow he took to force down another gulp of breath. Suddenly, Ginny let out a gasp, making Rebecca tear her gaze from her father's watch and back towards the sky. Not too far, a small blue light appeared before it grew larger and flashed brightly once.
