"That makes a lot of sense," Lisa said, her fingers drumming on her chin while her eyes looked toward the ceiling. "The whole reason the castle was moved with the stone was because it was the only way to focus properly on where you wanted to go. It also makes sense that when you access the Infinite Corridor, it literally is infinite in it's possibilities."

"Only a fool would attempt to open the Infinite Corridor without some way of focusing the power within," Dracula muttered. "And, from what Belmont and Belnades said, that's exactly who tried to access it. A whole group of fools."

"You have to understand something," Trevor began. "They were doing that in order to bring you and your wife back here. That was their only purpose."

"Bring us back?" Lisa asked, her head quirked to one side.

"Yes," Sypha answered. "The priests decided that they'd had enough of Hell on Earth and decided that it was because Dracula had cursed them. So, in their twisted way, they believed that if they brought you both back it would somehow balance things out and fix what the Church had caused."

"It was a curse," Dracula said with anger in his voice. "I didn't expect to join my wife when I died, so I believed that I would curse humanity for their folly. It was the Church and all those who stood by to watch, all those who pointed their fingers and cursed my lady wife that brought forth my ire, and I cursed all of humanity for giving me hope and dashing it away."

Lisa pat Dracula's arm to calm him. When he turned his head to look at her, she gave a sympathetic smile and kind eyes to lift his mood. When his eyes softened, she reached forward to grab her cup of tea for a sip. Once she replaced her cup, she leaned into Dracula's side and his arm wrapped around her shoulders protectively.

"I don't doubt there were some dumb motherfuckers in there that deserved to die," I said grimly, "but there were also women and children who's only sin was listening to the Church. There were those who wept over the Church's actions, myself included. And there were those who hadn't even learned of your demise prior to the attacks that happened at the hands, and claws, of the night creatures." Dracula seemed to weigh what I'd said before closing his eyes and nodding his head in agreement.

"Regardless of what caused it or how it got worse, there are things that you have to understand right now to possibly redeem yourself in the eyes of your people," I said. "Whether you believe it or not, in the time that I come from, most people of Romania hold you in very high regard. They believe you to have been a just, kind and fair ruler with the ability to be fierce just to send an example to your enemies."

"You know this how?" Dracula said, obviously puzzled. I stood up from my spot and moved over toward my bag. Grabbing the paper, the book, and a few other references, I made my way back to my seat. Taking a deep breath, I began my explanation.

"You will have to forgive me for paraphrasing from several different texts here, but the first is my own report that I wrote on you."

"You what?" Lisa said, a pleasantly surprised look on her face.

"In my time, women are allowed to go for higher learning. Its actually encouraged. And, during one of my classes about psychology, I wrote a paper that discussed the facts and the fictions associated with Dracula, or, more specifically, Vlad Tepes Dracul. A lot of the things that twisted the facts came from this little book written by a drunken Irishman named Stoker. I won't go into all the sordid details, but suffice it to say that while the people believed one thing, the west believed you were a demon that drank the blood of virgins, had multiple brides and murdered anyone you didn't like by either draining them dry or sticking a rather pointy stick up where the sun doesn't shine."
