Dracula P.O.V.
I watched as my son began looking through the rings, his eyes scanning over each one with a discerning eye. They were quite lovely by themselves, but there were so many choices. So many, in fact, that I felt the sudden desire to look for one for Lisa, too. She would most likely adore whatever I brought her, but this was something special. Something she would always have from this time other than the grandchild I suspected wouldn't be too far behind if the sounds I heard coming from my son's room were any indication.
There were so many stones that I'd seen on my travels that I thought would suit my beloved that I had wanted to get made into some piece of jewelry for her. Reds, blues, greens, white and black stones as far as the eye could see but here before me were other colors. Purples and oranges, browns and pinks. Almost any color you could imagine was here. And then I saw it. Laying before me was a ring with a black stone on a pink colored band.
"This one," I said while pointing at it. "What is it?" The one called Robbie picked it up and looked at it.
"This is a black diamond on a band of rose gold. Very nice choice."
"I would like to look at it closer for a moment, if I may," I said. This is far more than I'd thought it was. Robbie handed it to me and I looked it over. This would be a perfect choice for Lisa. I had to have it.
"Adrian? Let me see your left hand for a moment?" I asked. My son turned to me and held up his hand. I then placed the ring on his little finger and found that it fit perfectly. I smiled and returned his hand to him.
"What is that for, Father?" he asked inquisitively.
"This is for your mother. She would love something like this, and I find myself in the mood to purchase it for her. She deserves beautiful things for the things I've put her though, the things that she had to go through while I wasn't around and just being the love of my life." I found myself smiling while imagining her reaction to something like this; the gasp that would come from the surprise, the tears she would shed in happiness. I couldn't wait to give it to her.
"May I please get this ring? And perhaps a small box to put it in? I wish it to be a gift."
"Of course, sir," the one named Jaimie said with a smile. He then produced a small red velvet box with a golden ribbon embroidered into the lid. Carefully, he made sure the ring was clean and then placed it into the red velvet in the box. He looked at it appreciatively before closing the box and placing it in a small gift bag that he tied with a ribbon of it's own before placing it before me on the counter.
"Will that be all?" he asked.
"Actually," Adrian began, "I would like to get a small leather bag for this ring." It was a lovely silver ring with a bright blue stone attached.
