The turning last night would sit in my memory for the rest of my eternity. Never did I think that Vlad would be so loving and tender yet so fierce. And now, the way things look, smell and sound is so different from when I went to my bed yesternight. I could hear each drop of water hitting each and every stone, almost able to pick out what drop and which stone. My eyes were still adjusting to how bright the light of day was even though the sky was a pale gray color. And the smell of Y/N's cinnamon rolls baking in the kitchen smelled so divine and brought a smile to my face. I rushed toward the scent and couldn't believe my own speed. I laughed like a child as I wove my way through the halls, the curtains flapping in my wake and the breeze rushing through my hair. I could hear Vlad chuckling at my antics down the hall and feel him rush toward me.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself this morning, my lady wife," he said with glee.

"Oh, Vlad!" I responded as he caught up to me. He grasped me around the waist and spun me around in the air, his feet leaving the floor and floating with me. The both of us laughing together, something we hadn't done in so long.

"Smells like Y/N woke up before us yet again, love," Vlad said with a smirk. "She's more of an early riser than the lot of us."

"I know," I said with a smile. "She's putting us all to shame."

"I am not!" we heard Y/N say from the kitchen below us. "I just figured I would cook us something before we leave."

"I smell heaven again!" we then heard from down the hall. Sypha and Trevor were having a race to see who could get to the kitchen first.

"Better move it, Fang Face," Trevor shouted, "or I'm going to eat your share!" Chuckling, we all rushed toward the kitchen, Vlad included, and stopped in front of the door only to see Adrian already standing in the kitchen.

"What was that, Asshole?" Adrian asked with a single quirked brow and a smirk on his face. "You were going to eat my portion? I'd love to see you try." He smirked even wider and popped a small piece of cinnamon roll in his mouth before turning to take his place at the table with a plate of two of the pastries. He smiled broadly at the scoff that came from Trevor, the rest of us chuckling while taking our places as well.

"I know I'm early, but I couldn't sleep," Y/N said softly. "I passed out pretty well, but once I woke to go to the bathroom I just couldn't get back to sleep."

"I hate when that happens," I answered. "You just have to put your feet on the floor and your body thinks its time to get moving, no matter how tired your brain is." Once I'd finished my statement, the front door of the castle opened revealing a partially soaked Isaac and his companion.

"What is that smell, master?" Flyseyes asked.

"I don't know what it is, but I find that it's quite pleasant," Isaac answered. His eyes lit on the kitchen where everyone was gathered and started our way.

"Let us take this to the dining area so that we all might sit down?" Vlad said diplomatically. Agreement all round, we grabbed the pastries and drinks to take to the table. Isaac and his companion sat a bit apart from us.

"Come on, you two," Y/N said with a smile. "I won't have you sitting down there while we eat. And I have something you'd like instead of the human fare, sir." I watched as surprise seemed to show on Isaac's companion's face.

"His name is Flyseyes," Isaac introduced. He turned to Flyseyes and said, "This is Y/N. She's the one who sent out the meat for you and the others."
