Alucard P.O.V.
Dinner had come and gone, our conversations finished and Isaac had decided to rejoin his horde of night creatures and sleep outside. No matter how many times Y/N asked if he'd like to stay in the castle, he refused by stating that he shouldn't leave the night creatures to their own devices. She nodded in understanding and gave him three boxes of raw meat.
"What is this for?" Isaac asked, completely in awe of the offer.
"I don't believe the night creatures outside have had anything to eat, and while it would be alright to set them loose on the other creatures in the forest, we will need all we can get to stop Carmilla from carrying out her plan. This is all I can offer them, a bit of food to show I mean them no harm. And you can give some to the one you spoke to while you explain what's going on." She said it as softly and as calmly as she could, which earned a grateful smile from Isaac.
"Now I see why my master trusts you so much. You're not like a lot of the humans either of us have known. You give respect to those who have earned it, and you have most gratefully and honestly earned mine. Flyseyes was right to come here first. I thank you for your hospitality and your honesty, truly a gift I have only earned from my master."
"I'm glad you hold me in such high esteem," Y/N said on a chuckle, "but if we are successful in the battle to come, then and only then will I accept it. I have much to earn from you, and will continue to try." The clasped hands and bowed to each other before he took the boxes into the treeline and disappeared for the night. She watched him until he disappeared before turning to return to my arms.
"We should rest now," Father said. "Tomorrow has much in store for us, and I have a mate to turn before dawn." I watched as he kissed Mother's temple and her face bloomed in a becoming blush before they turned to make their way up to their room.
"He's right," Sypha uttered. "We should get as much rest as we can because I don't see a time where we will have time for it in the coming days."
"Enjoy it while you can, asshole," Trevor spoke to me. He then threw one arm across Sypha's shoulder and flipped me off with his other hand. Again I found myself smirking and returning the gesture before I turned to see Y/N smiling at our antics.
"Come. Let us go to our room and get some sleep." She nodded in answer and wrapped her arm around my waist as we walked up the stairs. It would be one of the last times we could be this silly before our plan went into action, so I proceeded to bump her hip with my own. Her childish giggle reached my ears when she returned the movement and her fingers dug into my side in an effort to tickle me. It worked better than she'd thought because my knees buckled under me as a laugh burst from my chest.
"Uh oh," she jokingly uttered as she saw the look of mischief I displayed while standing. Letting a laugh escape her lips, she quickly turned and ran toward the room with me running behind her. Already her speed was becoming closer to my own, but not enough to escape. I caught up to her just before we got to the door and grabbed her around the waist. A shriek of laughter was heard as I spun her around and chuckled.
"Adrian!" she giggled and gasped while my fingers dug into her sides in retaliation. "Sto-oop! Oh! Stoop! Please! I give! I give! Uncle!" Her laughter got louder when we both collapsed to the floor and I continued my assault on her sides with my legs on either side of her hips. Her legs kicked in futility while her body writhed on the floor, tears appearing in the corners of her squeezed eyes and hands desperately grasping at my wrists to push them away.
"Do you yield?" I chuckled in the reddened face of my love.
"Yes! Oh, God! Yes, dammit! Quit! I give!" she squealed through gasping breaths.
