As I walked up to the altar I saw the incredible amount of work that went into this setting. Fairy lights and candles illuminated the great hall with a soft glow, the rounded arch dotted from behind with tiny LED lights that cast their light behind the flowers around it. A small Gothic pedestal of grey and white marble with black flecks stood in the center where Richter stood in a black woolen long coat with silver buttons, his dark hair drawn back with a black silk cord the same as I: half up and the ends dangling over the shoulders. A silver lined white carpet dashed with marble-like shocks of black throughout led up to the small step up and set a line through the white chairs, the chairs themselves decorated with a bit of silver bunting nestled around the same white flowers. It was then that I noticed the extra guests I had no idea about.

Isaac sat in the second row of the group, the first row reserved for parents, in a suit of the finest ivory linen, a color you couldn't pay me to wear. Remarkably the suit made his amber eyes shine brighter against his dark skin. His smile grew wider when he felt Lilandra slip her arm around his and leaned into his shoulder.

Isaac's wife Lilandra sat beside him in a dress of the deepest forest green that accentuated her darker skin and her chestnut hair. The most impressive was how it managed to make her eyes look even more shocking. Those eyes were resting solely on her husband, his countenance showing utter love as he gazed upon his wife. The pair turned toward the altar once again and waved to me with bright smiles on their faces and I couldn't help but wave like a child and smile broadly.

And then there was Hector and Mara. Hector had chosen to dress up for the wedding in a suit of smoky brown, a sort of combination between copper and silver that made his hair color seem to blend right into it. Mara sat beside him in an ombre blue dress that smoothly slipped to a near indigo at her feet. She, too, wore a huge smile and waved at me while her rather quiet husband nodded his head toward me while a smile spread across his face. I returned his nod and waved to Mara with the same smile I'd shown to Lilandra and Isaac.

As I stood there before everyone I felt my nerves start to jitter. Even as my father joined me at the altar I felt my knees start to shake and want to give out under me. I could feel my whole body heat up and the feeling I would throw up reared it's ugly head.

"Calm down, my boy," Father said when he clapped his hand on my shoulder. I flinched at the sudden touch and felt the sweat that had threatened to roll down my back dribble it's way down.

"You're going to be fine, Adrian," I once again heard my father's voice. "This is what you've been waiting for, so take a deep breath and relax. Remember that your mate is about to become yours through two unbreakable bonds in front of your friends and family." I did as he said and took that much needed deep breath, the release of it helped to shed some of my anxiety. Not all, but some. I rubbed my hands together in front of me and looked around at everyone again.

"Almost forgot!" Robbie shouted a bit too loudly as he came running up to the front of the altar. "Can't really be a ring bearer if I don't bear the rings, right?"

"You did remember them, right?" Robbie then produced the velvet box that held the rings inside and showed them to me quickly so I would know they're in there. Nestled in a velvet pillow were two white gold rings: one with a small diamond in the center and the other with in intricate scroll design that had been carved into the band and decorated with diamonds all around. I marveled at the beauty of the rings for a moment, a smile I couldn't control spreading across my face.
