Naboo part two

Cody and Barris were pushed into a alleyway desolate of any life forms before the two thugs spoke.

"Give us your credits" the boy said aiming his weapon in Barris's face. Cody automatically pulled her behind him, his rage evident on his face as he stared down the boy.

He had to be a little over 15, acne was clearly visible on his face that looked to be sweating bullets.

"Stay away from her" Cody growled at the two thugs, Barris on the other hand grabbed the back of his shirt.

"Oh tough guy.....keep talking and you will be eating a blaster shot" said the older thug who didn't look much older than the boy.

Cody looked the thug in the eye not backing down, his free hand grabbing onto the edge of Barris's dress nonverbally telling her to stay behind him.

"Hand over your credits" the boy said again before grabbing the bag with the books and bracers in them. Cody let him take the bag before he felt the but of the blaster hit his temple causing him to fall to the ground, Barris dropped down to check Cody almost the second he fell only to be pulled back by her hair from the older thug causing her to scream out in shock more than pain.

"So your the little traitor we've been paid to collect?" The boy said as he pinned Cody down with his knee. Cody froze for a moment before catching Barris's eye nonverbally telling her what to do, he couldn't move until she understood the plan.

The thug that was holding Barris grinned before leaning in close to smell her, inches away from her skin. Cody kicked out not bothering to wait for her ok, he sent the boy flying as he darted first to his feet then to tackling the thug that had ahold of Barris. He grabbed his throat and arm that was holding her before slamming him into the wall opposite them so hard the cement cracked.

He let go of Barris almost immediately before he was locked out by a very pissed off Cody. Cody automatically pulled his arm back to hit him again when he felt a familiar touch on his arm, gently pulling him back.

"Don't......" Her voice was barely above a whisper but Cody was still able to hear her.

"He....he deserves it Cyare" he replied his eyes never leaving the thug.

Barris on the other hand moved in front of Cody's line of sight before resting her hand on just chest. "He may deserve it.....but we won't give it to him" she whispered.

Cody closed his eyes before resting his forehead against hers, "ok.......let's go home" he muttered once he had calmed down a bit. Barris smiled at him before he grabbed the bag from the knocked out boy, he made a mental note to inform the police of the incident but right now he just wanted to her home safe and sound.

"Did you at least eat anything?" Cody asked as he wrapped his free arm around her waist again.

Barris blushed before hiding her face into his chest.

Cody smiled before kissing the top of her head "we will grab something on the way home" he mumbled before they left the alleyway and back into the bustling streets of the market.

It wasn't until they got back to Padmes home before they ran into Satine who's arms were crossed and tapping her foot in a annoyed fashion.

"Where did you two go after the doctor appointment?! I've been trying to get ahold of you for the last five hours!!!" She yelled, Cody winced as he felt Barris flinch fighting the urge to hide behind him.

Cody automatically pulled her closer to his side as he debreifed Satine. Who by the end of it was ready to go back to the alleyway and give the two thugs a pice of her mind. "You two should have had guards or something else that would ensure your safety, Barris is no longer a Jedi Commander Cody. What would happen if she where to get hurt or even yourself? Or worse....".
