Invasion part one

Cody smiled at Barris as she piloted the assassins ship. He stood behind her chair ready to take over if she got too tiered.

Ventress on the other hand glared at them, her hands where bound by make shift force cuffs and she had been gagged after Cody had gotten a headache from her complaining.

Cody glanced at Ventress before he shifted from standing at ease to crossing his arms across his chest. Barris chuckled at his slightly aggressive behavior before she spotted it.

Ventress's home world.

Codys whole body went stiff as he narrowed his eyes at the planet. Barris shivered slightly causing Cody to look down at her before he placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed gently.

"You ok?"

"I'm fine. It's just.....it felt as though someone's watching us." Barris replied as she reached for his hand on her shoulder.

But as they entered the planets atmosphere Barris's shivering got worse.

So much so that Cody took over the controls from her and managed to get her to sit down on the floor next to him.

"We can set down in the clearing there" Cody said as he gently reached his spare arm down to her and squeezed her hand. Barris curled up slightly as her body quivered, Cody glared hard at the planet before he set the ship down.

Ventress watched in slight fascination at Barris's reaction Before she managed to break out of her cuffs.

Cody heard the sound of the force cuffs falling to the metal floor before he felt Barris get to her feet and activated her saber in time to stop Ventress's attack.

"Now that is interesting" Ventress hissed as Cody drew his gun on her. Barris just glared back at the witch before Ventress deactivated her saber.

" You are not a Jedi anymore, but your body still remembers the magic that was cast upon you" Cody knew exactly what Ventress implied and he it made his blood boil as he figured it out.

"You mean to tell me that your..... Witch sisters where the ones that..." Cody seethed as Barris started to tremble slightly before she deactivated her saber as well. Cody automatically pulled Barris into his side protectively as he glared at the witch.

"Yes, the process was similar to the one we used on Darth maul...." Ventress answered hoping to calm down the trooper. Cody on the other hand gripped Barris tighter as he tried his best to keep his calm.

"Cody" Barris whispered her voice a little shaky.

Codys jaw ticked before she spoke again.

"Put down the blaster Cody" Barris spoke again.

"We are in enemy territory, and this is the witch who let them turn you into a puppet" Cody seethed.

Barris flinched slightly at the word puppet before she reached out to his blaster and gently pushed it down to his side.

Cody breathed heavy his grip on the blaster tightening slightly before Barris nuzzled into his side more.

"My people can help us" Ventress said as Cody gave her a death glare.

"Your people will probably only help you" Cody growled out.

Ventress rolled her eyes at the overprotective clone.

"In the beginning of the clone wars there was a set of plans drawn up for a weapon that could obliterate a planet........but when my master tried to kill me....."

"You stole the plans" Barris finished.

Ventress nodded.

"My master was already planning on wiping out the night sisters, but if we can warn them and get their help we stand a fighting chance" Ventress hissed.

Cody on the other hand still glared at Ventress, "and if they don't help?"

"Then you can fill me with as many shots as you want" Ventress hissed back before she made her way out of the ship.

Cody closed his eyes trying his best to calm down as he breathed in Barris's scent.

"Cody..........are you ok?"

"We should not trust them"

"Cody...." Barris started.

"No, they shut you inside your body and made you watch as you where forced to become a spy" Cody hissed.

"Sorta like when you locked me in a room before the barricks blew up?" Barris argued back.

Cody opened his mouth to argue back but stopped.

Barris shook her head at him before kissing his cheek "you can't let hate rule your life Cody, holding grudges isn't healthy".

"I thought you didn't want to be a Jedi anymore Cyare? Why are you quoting scripture like one?" Cody asked as he looked down at her confused.

Barris looked a little hurt before she replied "it's called common sense Cody." She moved out of his reach and followed Ventress out of the ship.

Cody on the other hand face palmed as he realized what he had just done.

Insulted his well armed girlfriend while making himself sound like an idiot shiney.
