The Rising

a dark visitor

Lil yawned curling into Kix slightly, she looked at him and smiled slightly. He was in his old squad shirt and pt pants his old sleeping gear though he had fallen asleep trying to help her with her work when she brought a pile of it to bed with her.

The room was large with a king size four poster bed that was half covered in papers with moonlight shining through a large glass window overlooking the city.

"Kixxxx" she whispered.

Kixs response was to snore slightly before he tightened his hold around her waist. Lil had to hold back a laugh before her eyes caught sight of something perfect for the occasion.

A pen.

Lil grinned evilly as she reached out to grab it.

"Don't even think about it" Kix mumbled.

Lil froze before looking back at him slightly annoyed.

Kix smiled as he opened his eyes as looked down at her.

"You where awake this entire time?" She asked annoyed.

"Only when you started to move" Kix mumbled as he nuzzled her neck.

"What am I a teddy bear?" Lil asked annoyed as he rubbed her arms through her long sleeve pajamas.

Kix froze smiling.

Lil grimaced as he tried to hold back his laughter.

Kix finished his chuckling before he kissed her temple, "how is the work coming?".

"Painfully slow.....wanna spar?" Lil asked grinning happily.

Kix winced slightly before he shook his head "no thanks, I'd prefer to keep my intestines on the inside".

Lil giggled remembering their last spar practice where Kix ended up on the floor with a bloody nose and his shoulder armor busted. "Shoulder still sore?" Lil asked giggling.

Kix huffed annoyed before he grinned evilly before he began to tickle her.

"Mer....mercy hahaha" Lil coughed out as he rolled so she was trapped by his arms.

"Nope your in for it now Duchess" he joked before she flipped him expertly and pinned his arms above his head with the force.

"That's just cheating..." He said slightly annoyed as she grinned down at him.

"Can I get up I have a pen sticking in my side?" Kix asked dryly.

"I Donno trying to attack the duchess of mandalor has a heavy sentence" Lil responded laughing.

"In that case....I plead guilty" Kix smiled Lil laughed harder at his response before she shook her head and let him up.

Kix smiled happily at her before he kissed her temple, "feel better?" Kix asked as she curled up in his lap. Lil hummed happily as he chuckled at her then picked up the paper she was working on.

"Yikes......that's a lot of zero's" he muttered as he read the papers contents.

Lil chuckled slightly before she nuzzled his chest, "that is how much the new army will cost the new Republic....and the banking clan is being extremely difficult.".

"Remind me again how they managed to survive order 66 and your mother" Kix asked.

"Don't know ....don't care.  .....sleep" Lil grumbled.

Kix laughed slightly before he kissed her forehead and pulled the duvet over her shoulders.

"How sweet"

Both Lil and Kix bolted out of the bed, Kix drawing his gun and Lil drawing her sabers, standing back to back as they looked around the dark room for the intruder.

Kix squinted in the dark and finally caught sight of the intruder.

His yellow eyes shine in the darkness before he stepped into the light slightly.

"Darth Vader" Kix growled at him as he pushed Lil behind him slightly aiming her for the door.

"I only need the Duchess....." Darth Vader hissed before he flicked his hand.

"NO!" Lil shouted knowing what was going to happen as she stowed the dark saber to her belt and gripped onto Kix's arm seconds before he was sent flying towards the window.

Lil moved quickly forcing her green saber down into the tiled floor and somehow managed to slow down the force of the toss enough that they where now hanging from the window and not this falling to their death.

"Kix!!".

"I'm ok" Kix replied as his hand gripped hers tightly as he looked up at her. He could see the force that had thrown them out of the window had also popped her arm out of her socket, he grimaced before he tried to grab onto the side of the building.

But it was smooth, the whole area around them was smooth metal. Meaning they could not climb their way out.

Lil smiled down at him before she felt someone watching them.

Looking up she saw why.

Though it was dark the city's lights below them lit up the face of Darth Vader as he looked at them annoyed.

Then activated his saber smiling slightly.

Kix felt his stomach churn as he realized what Vader was going to do.

"Drop me!"

"What!!!! No way!!!"

"Cyare....drop.....me"

"No....." Lil replied her eyes watering from pain in her arm.

Kix glanced at Vader before he looked back at her.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered. Then using his free hand he pulled his arm free from hers, causing him to start falling to the ground.

"KIX!!!" Lil screamed as she watched him fall out of sight.

"Ohhh......how sad.....though they where designed to be tossed in to the garage." Vader goaded as he began to laugh.

Lil shook with anger before she fixed him with a glare a kin only to her mother's glare.

"You don't get to call them that you pathetic, ungrateful traitor" she yelled.

Vader rolled his eyes at her before she rolled her body and swung up kicking him square in the chest sending him flying back into the room.

Vader rolled before hitting the wall as Lil took her stance retrieving her dark saber, her cheeks where red with anger as tears slowly fell from her eyes.

Vader laughed slightly before he looked up at her.

"You sick psyc-" Lil started before she was hit with an arch of electricity that came from Vader's free hand.

She screamed out in pain as her body fell to the floor.

"Why...." Lil asked as Vader bent down to take her sabers from her. Her voice was full of pain, both from the electricity and from watching Kix fall to his death.

"Because I want what Rex and my old Padawan took from me .....I want my wife and my children....." Vader replied as he cuffed her with force cuffs.

"You lost them when you......turned....to the dark side" Lil replied her body betraying her pain as she tried to stand back up

Vader glared at her before he back handed her across the face causing her to fall back to the floor as blood freely fell from her nose and mouth.

Lil laughed slightly as he put his foot to her back and pressed down before pulling out a hypo spray and pressing it to her neck.

Lil yelped loudly before her eyes slowly closed.

The last thing she heard was barely above a whisper as Vader chuckled "And now....your parents have lost you".
