Cody wipes his brow, exhaustion slowly setting in as he looked over the field he had been working on since sunrise. The crops he had been tending had been overrun with weeds and since Cut was already dealing with a hole in the cattle fence it made more sense to split up to do the work.

"Hey Farmer"

Cody smiled slightly at the familiar voice from behind him before turning to greet the owner of the voice.

"Well hello ma'am, " Cody replied humor thick in his voice as he took in Barris's new look.

She had a changed out her original clothes for a simple farm dress that was a shade of dark purple that ended just below her knees and covered her shoulders all the way to her elbows. She also had a glass of some sort of blue drink in her right hand as she carefully navigated the mess of weeds Cody had left in his wake.

"Here's a little treat from Sue, berry something or other, I was too busy making you a treat to pay attention" Barris admitted shyly as Cody closed the distance between them and held out his hand to help her balance herself as she worked through some of the more difficult weed piles.

"Oh, " Cody replied before he moved closer to her to kiss her temple.

Barris blushed slightly as Cody's free hand began to gently brush her hair, removing the small amounts of flour that seemed to have settled in there from the kitchen.

"I see you have some new battlefront damage," Cody sniggered as he gently took the drink from her and took a sip.

Barris blushed slightly at his comment her hand immediately going to her hair trying to brush away the evidence as she waited for Cody's expression on her first piece of cooking.

Cody gulped down half the drink before turning and smiling at her, "yum."

Barris grinned happily before kissing his cheek happily, Cody grinned back and pulled her in for a close hug. Barris blushed harder hugging him back happily before Cody kissed her sweetly, by the time they pulled away Cody could hear Cut yelling at them from the house.

"COME UP FOR AIR"

Cody glaired in Cut's direction before he felt Barris try to wiggle out of his grasp, he looked back at her and laughed slightly. "You do so not escape my grasp," Cody joked as he began to kiss her cheek and ear.

Barris yelped slightly and laughed happily at his goofiness before realizing that he was covered in sweat from pulling the weeds in the field they stood in.

"Cody!" Barris giggled as he chucked slightly resting his forehead against hers. "What? I don't see a problem" He muttered before returning to kissing her cheeks and ear making her giggle slightly more.

Barris giggled louder and tried again to get away from him, her giggles slowly turning to laughter as he began to tickle her slightly with his hand that had trapped her against him slightly so she could not get away.

"Lunch is ready" Sue called from the house, pulling the two lovebirds out of their trance slightly.

Cody sighed slightly before Barris kissed him deeply, her hands weaving through his hair slightly before she pulled away from a little. Leaving Cody with a large grin on his face as he looked down at her.

"Come on Farmboy, I'm hungry" Barris giggled as she finally pulled herself free from his grip and began to run playfully down the path towards the houses.

Cody grinned happily before he tossed the contents of the glass into the brush and ran to catch up to her and picked her up bridal style making her laugh slightly as they walked down the pathway.
