Blind Faith

Hunter watched as the children played in front of him. 

He could feel Wreaker shift uncomfortably to his right, obviously wanting to go join them before he glanced over to where the Kaminoan was working before his attention was drawn to the med bay doors. 

They had opened suddenly to accommodate a positively furious, but familiar, the face of Damali as she rushed in to look for someone. 

"Rex, Hunter, I need your help" Damali stated looking for Rex but starting longer at Hunter. 

Hunter blushed slightly before walking over to her quickly, Ignoring Wreakers' mutter of 'good puppy' as he did. 

"What's wrong?" Hunter asked as Rex quickly joined them. 

"your commander Wolffe is arguing with some new woman who has just arrived, She said she was the new commander and that he needed to move the force users to the living quarters instead of the hanger bay five " Damali answered slightly rushed. 

"Wait what?" Hunter asked confused as Rex's face broke into a grin. 

"Oh boy.....looks like Plo got a new padawan........I got to see this!" Rex laughed before rushing out of the med bay. 

Hunter and Damali looked at each other before Hunter smiled slightly at her, "wanna go watch a show?" He whispered his enthusiasm showing greatly before she smiled back and nodded. 

"After you, my dear" Hunter joked holding his hand out respectively in a gentlemanly fashion he had seen civilians do near the senate building. 

They left the med bay and quickly caught up to Rex who was laughing slightly ahead of them. 

"he is strangely happy for his brother" Damali commented as Hunter smiled slightly at how close she was to him. 

"Yea, I don't know why though......how are you settling in?" Hunter asked as they passed through another set of corridors. 

"Fine....though there is talk of leaving soon...." 

Hunter's body stiffened slightly before he felt a small soft hand brush against his. 

"Though I don't think the twins want to leave....they seem to like your Wreaker and Tech" Damali replied. 

Hunter shook his head remembering his brother's lovesick faces before he cooked up the courage to ask the next question. 

"anyone you like?" he asked his face burning red and thankful that she was blind as he almost tripped over his two feet at her answer. 

"There is this nice soldier called Heavy who likes to talk to me in his off time" 

He grits his teeth slightly before he asked his next question "you two get to chat often then?" 

"Not as much as he likes......he's fun to talk to and he's nice and all, but I don't think he's my type," Damali said before her hand gently grabbed him and squeezed. 

Hunter blushed hard and squeezed back, making mental note to have a sparing session with this...Heavy. 

"So where do you think you will go then after this?" Hunter asked his hand firmly holding hers, "donno.....wouldn't mind some quiet planet or ship though" Damali smiled before the ship shook violently causing her to trip before being caught and pulled her to his chest, gently securing her so her back was to his chest and his arms hugged her modestly. 

Hunter smiled slightly looking down at her as she smiled, "nice move...." she whispered making his spirits lift happily before Rex's cry of laughter broke through their moment, making them huff slightly.
