The Rising

Intruders part one.

Cody yawned curling into Barris slightly as she nuzzled his chest in her sleep.

He smiled down at her before gently tucking a loose strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear. Cody smiled at her before tracing the small scar on her temple, she had slowly gotten used to him touching it when they where cuddled together.

Barris slowly stirred as he pulled the blanket over her shoulder slightly.

"Mm... morning" she was clearly groggy but Cody still noted the beaming smile on her face as she kissed his cheek before he held her chin and pulled her up so he could kiss her on the nose.

"Morning sleepyhead........you ready for breakfast?"

Barris narrowed her eyes at him before he chuckled.

"Your never cooking again" Barris growled as Cody blushed remembering the small fire he had created while trying to cook an egg.

"Yea....I guess you are right" Cody mumbled before Barris giggled and kissed him gently.

"No guessing about it...." Barris grumbled as she pulled away slightly and began to make her way out of the bed.

Cody smiled before pulling her back and looping his arms under her so she would be carried Bridal style as he got out of the bed.

"CODY!!" Barris half yelled half giggled as he laughed slightly.

"Relax ...... Besides it's fun to sweep you off your feet" Cody chuckled at his own joke before Barris glared at him.

"I'm still going to the library today Cody. Those texts could help us win the war" Barris grumbled as he huffed annoyed.

"Tomorrow?" He asked cautiously before she slapped his chest gently.

"Fine......but your going armed this time" he relented as she smiled at him. Happy she had won yet another argument.

"And you can't distract me again" she said as he placed her onto a bar stool next to the counter.

"I never distracted you" Cody huffed as he poured her some juice before handing it to her and wrapping his arms around her waist.

Barris raised her eyebrow at him in a questioning manor before he blushed, "uh huh.......just stay out of my kitchen" Barris said smiling before kissing his cheek and pushing herself off the stool.

Cody smiled before taking her seat and resting his chin in his hand, watching her as she began to make breakfast.

"I think we should start with the archives first, that way we can cover the ancient texts first....those are usually the hardest to decipher since not everyone spoke in basic back then.........."

He listened to her babbling as she rushed around the kitchen.

In truth he was half listening half star struck as she expertly whipped up breakfast. Which turned out to be a pancake like food with berries.

Cody barely noted the food, chosing instead to watch as she busied around the kitchen, her body was healing nicely he noted as he watched her gate like a hawk. Ready to leap to her side if she collapsed or even drew a little tiered.

"Cody!!! Are you even paying attention to me?!" Barris half yelled causing him to jump slightly before he smiled "most definitely".

Barris raised an eyebrow before crossing her arms. Cody smiled nervously before he got up from the stool and pulled her into his arms.

"Look, we will get the Intel we need, then we will pass it on to Kenobi then continue on with our vacation" Cody said smiling.

"Those sith holocron's have been lost for centuries.....we arnt just going to find it within ten minutes Cody....."
