Invasion part Two

When Cody caught up to Barris she was shivering. 

Ventriss on the other hand glanced at him before falling back to talk to him, "being one of Dooku's puppets isn't easy.......she needs to gain her confidence back".

"Shut up" Cody muttered. 

"i get it but you need to understand.... not every jedi can survive being on their own.....some get lost" Ventriss muttered her eyes downcast. 

Cody looked back to Barris. Ventriss rolled her eyes at him before muttering something about love sick clones. 

Barris shivered again as the fog rolled in, she could feel Cody coming up behind her before she felt a large jacket drop onto her shoulders.

"I'm sorry" Cody muttered so only Barris could hear him.

Barris shivered again before pulling the coat  off her and tossing it back at Cody.

Ventress winced as Cody scrambled to pull the coat off his face.

He looked to Ventress who gave him a look that said 'told you so' before he huffed annoyed and walked faster to get some distance between himself and the witch.

Ventress rolled her eyes before her gaze landed on a rock with familiar carvings. Her eyes widening in fear as she turned back to her companions.

"Wait! Stop it's a-"

Barris screamed making Cody shout in anger before all three of them where thrown into the air by an invisible force. It had a blue and purple glow that seemed to be intensifying before their eyes.

"We have to get out before it hardens" Ventress yelled trying to reach her sabers but they flew out of her hands, as did Barris's sabers and Cody's gun

"Now what?!" Yelled Barris as the fog started to thicken into a putty like substance.

Cody fought harder against the strange substance that was holding him, "you witch!! you lead us into a trap".

Barris shivered again as the cold putty began to harden against her skin. Ventress hissed at Cody before he yelled "right back at you".

"The more we struggle the harder it gets!" Ventress yelled before stopping her movements.

The putty stopped moving around her as she did, it was slow but obvious as Barris watched and followed her lead just as it met her jaw line. Cody on the other hand still fought the substance.

"Cody!"

"No!"

"Cody listen to me..... please!" Barris shouted at him, Cody stopped slowly when the substance began to cover his face. Barris fought back tears before Cody smiled nervously at her as best he could with half his face covered.

"Cody!" Barris said again.

"I'm ok......are you!" Cody replied earning a small smile from Barris.

"I'm fine....a little uncomfortable but fine" Barris replied.

"Just out of curiosity....how long until we can move again?" Cody asked.

"Until someone finds us I assume" Barris asked Ventress.

"Yes..... though...in truth I don't know how long it would take for them to find us" Ventress replied nervously.

".......great" Barris replied.

"Well we could always try to cause noise" Cody supplied.

"That would only draw the man eating animals" Ventress replied before smirking "you could always talk about the problems your having".

Barris and Cody shared a glance before glaring at Ventress.

"Oh come on, I don't get to watch any good drama shows on the holonet" Ventress replied.

"No" Cody and Barris said at the same time before blushing slightly.
