Hera

Chopper kissed Riyos forehead gently as one of the Naboo doctors looked at both his wife and Hera. Riyo's hand rarely left choppers or her stomach with the exception of slapping Chopper slightly playfully when his hand went wandering.

It wasn't until one of the Naboo officers walked in that Chopper knew something was wrong. His gut twisted painfully as the soldier slowly walked over to him and whispered in his ear.

Chopper nodded to the soldier before leaving Riyo's side and sitting next to the small Hera as she played with the ends of her formal-looking dress.

"That's a pretty dress" Chopper winced at his poor attempt to make conversation.

Hera kept playing with the edge of her dress before she said barely a whisper "where is my daddy?".

"Um.........your dad's not going be able to make it" Choppers voice was quiet but just loud enough for Riyo to hear, she put a hand to her mouth as Chopper met her eye, answering her unspoken question.

"When will he be back? My brother is too young to be left on his own still. Daddy said he was too imma..imature" Hera fumbled over the last word her young having great difficulty pronouncing the word.

Chopper gulped before he held out his hand to her "he's not coming back kiddo.....but if you want we can go together to pick up your brother?".

Hera looked thoughtful for a moment her eyes glancing to his hand then to Riyo and then back to her dress, "is daddy gone to join my mommy?" Her as a voice broke slightly as she tried not to cry, Chopper gently hugged her as she spoke "mommy left too when my little brother was born, da-daddy s-said she w-went to a better p-place". Chopper gulped as he looked to his wife for help, Riyo understanding his dilemma automatically motioned for him to bring her over to her bed.

Chopper gently picked up the crying Twilek girl and set her down on his wife's bed before he watched something that he had never seen before happen. Riyo seemed to gather up the child and slowly calm her down as the little Twilek bawled her eyes out.

When Hera had calmed down enough to sniffling Riyo finally spoke "how about we all go to pick up your brother? That way we can all make sure he doesn't get into any trouble?", Hera on the other hand hiccupped her response "o-ok". Riyo smiled at Ghopper who grinned back, he couldn't help the feeling of warmth spread through him at the sight of Riyo's motherly side. Hera soon calmed down enough, thanks to Riyo, so the doctors could examine both of them.

"The little one will need to take some shots to make sure she has no infection but I don't see anything wrong." The med droid said causing Hera to flinch at the word shots, "Riyo should be alright, though I suggest she start taking some medicine to help her with the little one inside her." the droid finished as he prepared a shot for Hera. 

Hera tried to wiggle free of both Riyo and Chopper who were trying to calm her down. The droid on the other hand was not affected by the young Twileks reaction as he continued "The unborn youngling is slightly smaller than what normal children of Pantorians are and since the only documentation I could find is that of the birth of the Tano triplets who were of average size for a Togruta newborn. she will need to start taking some supplements and start having checkup more frequently as she nears the end of the pregnancy"

Choppers head snapped to the droid his face full of fear for a second, Riyo giggled at his reaction "Chopper it's normal for that to happen for my people, calm down" Hera, on the other hand, was slowly falling asleep after the droid gave her a couple of shots. Chopper wrapped his arm around his wife's shoulders more to comfort himself than her as she pulled a blanket over the sleeping Hera. Hera's head laid on Riyo's shoulder comfortably breathing softly.

"she looks so much calmer now" Riyo commented as Hera silently snored making Chopper chuckle "Maybe the droid put a sleeping shot in the syringe as well?". 

Riyo glaired at the droid who was now turned off in the corner "hmmm......"

"Riyo he's a droid he can't exactly do much........cept give me a heart attack of course" Chopper muttered the last part under his breath as he himself glaired at the droid.

Riyo on the other hand still looked at the droid her mind off in deep thought, slightly making Chopper nervous. 

"Do you want me to get you something? or do you need me to get the droid again? are you feeling any pain?" Chopper asked his voice betraying his fear slightly.

"he was looking for someone Chopper" She whispered to him meeting his gaze, her free hand touching his that was on her shoulder. 

"What do you mean?" Chopper whispered quietly so as not to disturb the sleeping Twilek.

"just as I said " Riyo whispered back "he was yelling at us where the sensor was"

"Chopper.........I think he was searching for the senator?" Riyo whispered her eyes full of fear. 

"Which one?" Chopper asked even quieter as Hera shifted in her sleep. 

"Senator Amidala"
