Unveiled

Lil rubbed her arm as a slight pain ran up it and into her shoulder. 

"You ok?" asked a familiar voice behind her. 

Lil smiled as she felt the familiar hand of Kix wrap around her waist and hug her gently from behind. 

"just my arm falling to sleep I think" Lil replied as she wove her fingers in his "How was the briefing?" 

Kix laughed slightly, "It was a breeze, your father and I had a joint presentation at one point. but as usual he followed my lead". 

Lil's eyebrows scrunched slightly confused before she felt him kiss her cheek gently. 

"and how are you feeling after your training session with General Alya?" Kix asked his tone soft and gentle. 

Lil blinked before she looked down at her appearance and noticed for the first time that she was indeed dressed in her sparing gear and even sported a slightly bloody bandage on her right arm. 

"It was fine" Lil lied, her hand gently covering the bandage. 

Kix hummed unconvinced before he turned her around and kissed her nose. "you know better than to hide things from me". 

The moment he said that Lil felt shivers erupt all over her body, almost as if she had been his with a freezing cold wave of water. Usually when he said things like that she would feel warmth in her stomach that would work its way up her spine, but this was different. 

Something was wrong. 

Kix reached out a hand to touch her wounded arm when she did something he didnt see coming. 

she stepped back. 

"Lilium what's wrong?"  Kix asked feigning worry. 

Lil's face turned to stone as she shook her head. 

"you never call me that" she whispered under her breath, her unwounded hand reaching for her saber at her waist. But it wasn't there. 

Kix smiled gently at her as he neared closer "Of course I do, did you hit your head during training as well. here let me take a look". 

Lil tried to take another step backward but her legs were frozen out of fear. 

"dont touch me" Lil muttered a little stronger this time, Kix ignored this and grabbed her arm roughly. 

"Come on now, we need to go to the med bay" His voice had changed. it was strangely robotic and empty. almost as if he was not really speaking. 

"Who are you?" Lil yelled throwing his hand off her. 

Kix glared at her before he drew his weapon and aimed it at her head and spoke into his coms on his left wrist. 

"subject has woken up, permission to end simulation 489 Echo?" 

Lil could feel her chest tighten and her arms throb painfully. 

She was about to open her mouth and ask what was going on when a voice replied through Kix's coms. 

"permission Granted"

Kix smiled sickly and took aim with both hands now. 

"You really should have talked Jedi whelp" he hissed. 

Lil closed her eyes her body unable to move and not willing to watch the man she loves kill her.

'Boom'

Lil flinched ducking slightly thinking she had been hit for a moment, then she heard a loud thump. Like the one, she associated with a body hitting the ground on the battlefield. Sure enough, when she opened her eyes there was Kix with a large smoking hole in the center of his forehead where a shot from a blaster had hit. 

"LIL!!!" yelled another familiar voice. 

Lil jumped, both out of fear and shock, and turned quickly grabbing Kix's blaster and aiming it at the newcomer. 

Etain skidded to a halt a foot from the blaster, her hands held firmly to the sky.

"Lil. It's me. Remember that time your father brought you to the capital. You fell off the hover car trying to get a good look at the Jedi temple. You broke your arm on the landing platform. I was the one who set your bone...."

Lil's hand that held the blaster shook violently. "E-etain?"

Etain smiled slightly at Lil before she took a step forward and took the blaster out of her hand and hugged her close.

"Come on, let's get you out of this nightmare" Etain said looking around the corridor.

"Where....am I?" Lil asked rubbing her throbbing head, "how did I get here? I thought I escaped?".

Etain shook her head before looking back down the ships corridor "this place isn't real, you are still in their prison".

Lil bit her lip and almost doubled over as her stomach threatened to throw up, "How" Lil whimpered her spirit breaking slightly.

"I don't know. But we have to get you out of here, and we have to find Kix"

"Why? Where is he?" Lil asked her attention back on Etain.

"He is stuck in his own worst nightmare"
