Negotiate

Kix fidgeted with the collar of his shirt as he stood in the entrance hall.

He grumbled at the fabric, tempted to rip it to shreds when he heard soft giggling coming from behind him.

"It's not funny, it feels as though I'm in one of Heavy's choke holds" Kix grumbled as Lil leaned against the bathroom doorway.

"Oh come on it's cute" Lil giggled as he turned to glare at her.

"One day, you get this for one day" Kix grumbled.

"Aww come on......" Lil said in-between fits of laughter.

"If we didn't have to help Chopper and Chuchi with the negotiations you would be in serious trouble" Kix grumbled before giving up on the complicated tie.

"Come here.......how can you tie bandages in your sleep yet can't do a simple neck tie?" Lil asked her hands working expertly on the 'simple' tie that had four knots and ended up in a four petal bow.

"Simple!!!!..........this thing is worse than a noose. Though it's resemblance is uncanny..." He grumbled the last bit under his breath, but lil heard the comment and tugged a little too hard causing him to cough slightly.

"Oops....sorry dear" Lil giggled before kissing his cheek.

Kix blinked dumbstruck before shaking his head at her trying to rid his ming of her elegant dress and crown of lillie's in her hair before taking one last look in the mirror.

If he was honest he didn't look that bad.....but there was no way he was going to wear this thing every single day. It resembled General Kenobi's Jedi robes except for the fact that these clothes were beyond fancy and complicated.

He winced slightly as he touched the tie that was now laying expertly on his collar bone, not too tight not to loose but just enough to look professional.

His hair had grown out slightly much to his delight though with how much work they where doing because of the war he was sure it would turn grey soon.

He shrugged before he grabbed a file from the countertop and ran to catch up with his wife.

How she could get so far in such a small amount of time and in heels no less amazed him.

Lil shot him a slight smile as he caught up to her. "Chuchi brought the younglings with her, thankfully my mother arrived last night so she and Corky can watch them while we deal with those......those...."

"Night sisters?" Kix filled in smiling slightly.

Lil shivered slightly slowing in her pace, Kix gently rubbed her back as she took deep breaths.

"That was not what I was going to say and you know it" Lil grumbled eyeing the door ahead of them that led to the throne room.

"All they want is sanctuary......on a moon far away from here......" Kix whispered as he wove his fingers through hers. "Your the duchess of mandalor....and they are desperate enough to offer their aid in the war.....you'll eat those witches for breakfast".

Lil smiled at him before kissing his cheek, "I'm glad to know I have a very clever advisor for a fiancee", Kix smiled at her before fixing the lilly in her hair that was just a little off center from the rest.

"Hungry?" He asked half joking.

"Starved"

Kix smiled at her before falling in step behind her as she burst through the doors dramatically, he had to fight the smirk that so badly want to burst through him when he spotted the four night sisters emissaries jump almost out of their skin.

Their clothes where that of their traditional garb, but their faces revealed just how beaten and run down they where.

Dark circles around their sunken eyes that seemed to peirce through him as he tried to stand a little taller.

"What is the male doing here!" The leader spoke, her voice was especially raspy almost as if someone tried to choke her recently.

"The male is my fiancee...and the only reason I'm listening to you four today....treat him with respect" Lil practically growled at them.

Then shifted uncomfortably before the leader spoke again "apologies Duchess Lilium, we hope that you are not offended..... advisor".

Kix nodded his head before Lil smiled at them slightly "now what is it exactly you wish to offer in trade for sanctuary for your clan?".

"Our services....." The second night sister answered her voice seemed fine but her body betrayed her slightly as she cradled her arm slightly.

"As what? This war was waged upon by your count and now your own sister has disappeared right before your.... Home was attacked" Lil asked as they glared at her.

The guards in the throne room twitched almost in synced with each other, reminding the night sisters they where heavily out gunned.

"Ventress was on our side.....but she was taken by that monster...." The night sister growled taking a step forward causing the guards to aim their weapons in her direction in a sharp snap as Kix took a slight step forward from behind Lil. His arm brushed her shoulder gently before Lil spoke again.

"My question still remains, what do you offer the people of Mandalor?".

The lead night sister bared her teeth at Lil making Kix glare at her.

"We offer a weapon......one that was designed to destroy planets"
