Cold

The air first left his lungs as his heart kept to his throat. Then he heard the screams from his brothers that where closest to the hanger as they flew out the opening door. Rex slid on the hanger floor desperately grabbing for anything to hold onto, he could see out of the corner of his eye Fives and Echo trying to throw the traitor droids out of the hanger.

He almost flew past Shaak Ti's ship before he grabbed onto one of the landing struts. He let out a loud shout of pain as scraps for the ships whizzed past him scraping and cutting into his back and arms as they did.

Rex grunted in pain as he pulled himself up to the strut, his mussels and skin screaming in pain made ripples in his connection with Ahsoka and his children as he could feel their worry and fear double.

"FIVES!!!! HURRY UP" Echo yelled.

Though with the air whistling around his ears it was hard to tell.

He could feel his wife's worry only increased when the ship began to shudder.

He swore loudly as it began to shift towards the opening in the hanger door.

But just as suddenly as it started it stopped.

Causing Rex and twenty surviving clones to fall to the ground along with almost everything in the hanger.

Rex groaned in pain as he tried and failed to push himself off his back as he felt blood pool around him. It didn't take long after that before he felt the familiar touch of his wife as she turned him over into his stomach.

Ahsoka automatically began to apply pressure to the wounds as her mother came rushing to help.

He opened his eyes long enough to see not only his mother in law at the ships door but his eldest son peek his head around his grandmother

"....Soka" Rex managed to choke out.

Ahsoka followed his gaze before she saw Tiberius's horror stricken face before she rushed to him.

Shaak Ti glanced at her daughter before looking Rex over, she felt the  familiar cold but comforting presence of R2 approach with medical equipment.

"Hey don't look over there" Ahsoka whispered to her son as she fought back tears, Tiberius began to cry as he tried to push past his mother.

"No... Tiberius.... Tiberius stop" Ahsoka's voice cracked before Ahsoka felt her two other children cuddle up against their brother.

Ahsoka pulled her children close to her as tears began to fall from her face onto their clothes as they nuzzled into their mother sensing her worry.

Ahsoka jumped slightly when she felt Fives pull Tiberius from her arms followed by Echo and Heavy picking up Lithara and Aniko who cried loudly. Ahsoka automatically pulled her children back to her and growled at them and bared her fangs at them making Heavy trip over his own two feet as her children rushed back into her arms as she curled up slightly.

"Ahsoka.....you need to calm down" Fives said as he carefully bent down to one knee both hands held out in a non aggressive way.

"Ahsoka...they are taking Rex to the med bay......it's not safe here" Fives said quietly.

"It's not safe anywhere!!" Ahsoka growled out as Lithara tugged on her mother's leku, terrified of the yelling.

"Ahsoka, your scaring them......." Echo said calmly.

Ahsoka looked down at her children before she saw Tiberius. His fangs where extended as he hissed at his uncle's before a large crate came barreling towards his uncle's who barely got out of the way in time.

"He's protecting you Ahsoka" Fives yelled as he avoided another crate.

"Tiberius. Stop" Ahsoka scolded slightly as she pulled her son's gaze away from his uncle's.

"It's ok... Tiberius they won't hurt us ok?"

Tiberius shook his head before he glared at Fives as he ducked to avoid another flying crate.

"Daddy" Tiberius mumbled as his eyes filling with more tears.

"I know honey.......but you can't lose control when you see something you don't like" Ahsoka whispered as she wiped her son's tears from his face.

Then Tiberius stopped looking at her and switched to a group of aggressive looking astrometrics.

Fives followed his gaze and gulped.

"Oh shit" Heavy muttered.

Tiberius huffed and hissed before he let out a little roar.

That's when all of a sudden the astrometrics began to float into the air.....then began to slam down into the ground much in the same way a child would hit the ground with a toy.

Ahsoka looked at her son with slight worry before the droids ...or what was left of the droids fell to the ground for the last time.

Tiberius hissed at the pile of scraps for the last time before cuddling into his mother.

Ahsoka looked at her son before she looked up at her brother in law's, all of whom where looking at their nephew in slight fear.

"Oh I can't wait to see how you handle the teenage years" Echo muttered.
