Saving Lil

The moment Obi wan caught sight of his daughter and Kix bleeding out on the landing pad he increased his speed while his heart dropped to his stomach.

Cody on the other hand took a couple of moments to figure out why his general was running towards the battle. That was of course until he finally spotted Kix and Lil. Cody cussed in mando loudly before running to catch up with his general.

Cody barely caught sight of Master Fisto and  Ventress fighting hectically against each other before he lost sight of the jedi, favoring instead to rush to the aid of his brother and general. Bly only just noticed something was wrong when Cody almost ran him over, Bly glanced in the direction they were running before doing a double-take at what He saw.

Bly almost immediately stopped firing on the droids and grabbed his radio "we need evac right now! South landing platform! This is not a drill".

Obi wan was the first to reach them, he immediately began to try and pull Kix off of his daughter, he commended the mans protective nature but now was not the time to be so stubborn. 

"KIX!!" Obiwan yelled loudly as he tried to pull Kix's arms off Lil.

"Kix let go" Yelled Cody as he arrived joining Obiwan in trying to pull Kix off of lil. 

None of them could hear what Kix was saying, all they could see was the paler and paler both of them got as precious seconds ticked by.  

It wasn't until Kix passed out that the three of them were able to clearly see the wound on Lil's chest, it was large enough to worry all three of them. Obi wan made a mental note to thank Kix when he woke up for not only protecting his daughter but also trying to patch her up, he will kill him after his little girl is fixed up. 

"sir!" Cody yelled as Obi wan cradled his daughter in his arms "what's the eta on that evac?" Obiwan yelled as Bly patched up Kix mumbling under his breath something he could not hear. 

"five minutes sir" Cody replied shooting droids trying to overwhelm them. 

Cody was in mid-fire when they heard it. A loud scream filled the battlefield causing everyone to freeze. 

"was that?" asked Bly trying to peek over the small wall they were hiding behind. 

Cody didn't reply, he just staired off in the distance. 

Even Obi wan stopped what he was doing long enough to look as his hair stood on end. As though something strange had washed over him.

"yea" Cody replied a couple of seconds later "Ventress just killed General Fisto". 

The trio was silent for the next minute as the realization slowly set in. 

Cody was the first to speak "they are falling back, why are they falling back?", Obi wan didn't reply causing Bly to glance over at the Jedi General. 

Obi wan was slumped against the wall looking thoroughly drained, Lil on the other hand looked slightly less pale and her wound had healed halfway. 

Bly understood immediately what obi wan had done. 

Force healing. 

Bly looked down at Kix who was still pale but was not quite in the same danger as Lil, the bandages were securely in place making the wound seem less nasty than what it was. Bly mentally thanked Aayla for making him learn more about medicine when she got pregnant as he called in for the ETA of the Evac ship. 

"sir, we see you" came a familiar voice over the radio making Obiwan wince at the sound of the radio, Cody could tell just how exactly tiered his general was. Obi wans eyes were heavy and his body moved sluggishly, the usually quick and agile jedi now resembled master Yoda. 

"Sir are you alright?" asked Cody as the General swayed slightly before Cody steadied him with his spare arm. "Sir?" Cody asked again confused. 

Obi wan shook his head before replying "I'm...fine......". Cody and Bly looked at each other not believing a word that the Jedi said. 

The evac ship soon arrived and after much arguing, they managed to get Obi wan on the ship before the droids could figure out that they were retreating. 

when they finally landed the ship and got not only Lil and Kix into a hospital but General Obiwan as well. Cody at one point had to fight the urge to stun the general, fortunately, the overwhelming of both the general's exhaustion and the arrival of the Dutchess saved Cody from a possible mutiny charge. 

Cody was now watching a sleeping Barris, Bly had ordered the guards to leave long enough for Cody and Barris to have some privacy. Bly had even joked he might need their help when it came time to tell Aayla about the death of her old boyfriend. 

"Wish you were here to see what's been going on recently Cyare" Cody said as he gently moved the hair out of her sleeping face. 

"all thanks to your stubbornness" Cody muttered under his breath smiling at her before he continued "you have to wake up soon Cyare". her face was half-covered with bandages but Cody could still see the ghost of a smile that once blessed her face before all of this started. 

Cody had just placed another blanket on top of her when Bly stuck his head in the doorway "sorry Vod but we got to get going, Rex and Ahsoka haven't checked in and I'm not sure if my wife wants to kill me or not yet" Bly said whispering the last part so only Cody could hear. 

Cody only replied by rolling his eyes at his brother "why are you so afraid of her?". 

Bly snorted before shaking his head "when you and she get hitched and she's carrying your kid while also being a pretty terrifying force wielding Jedi whose hormones are going crazy then you will understand". 

Cody chuckled at his brother's hushed rant before taking a last look at Barris, he placed a small object in her hand before he finally had the strength to leave the room. "Don't worry Vod, I've got my own men standing guard now they will protect her, and we have almost all of slicks men in custody. She will be safe" Bly replied as Cody put on his helmet so Bly could not see his facial expressions. 

Cody resumed his usual professional air but Bly could have sworn that he felt a wave of rage bubble off of him. 

"Vod?" Bly asked slightly worried. 

"Im fine" Cody replied his voice dangerously cool. 

"Maybe you should stay with her, I can go to the briefing, and yo-" Bly started. 

"no" Cody's reply was harsh and it terrified Bly, the usually cool and collected Clone was now barely keeping his rage in, "i want that Bastard to pay for what he did to her, she should never have been anywhere near that. she was supposed to be safe here in that useless temple!!!!!!". 

Bly gulped as he noticed that for the first time since they were cadets on Kameno that Cody's hands were shaking and his chest was heaving as though he had just run a great distance. 

"stay here Vod, you will get your chance at the Sith bastard, but not today. you need to calm down" BLy replied. 

"I AM CALM!!!!!!" Cody shouted before he punched the metal wall leaving a large dent. Bly winced knowing that that must have hurt a lot. 

"Stay here, it will keep you calm, and save most of the maintenance staff a lot of work" Bly replied before gently pulling Cody away from the exit and back to the door. 

"i cant" Cody replied "I wasn't able to protect her before so how am i-". 

"oh for the love of........" Bly rubbed his temples slightly "that woman in there has been through hell and back and so help me if you aren't there when she wakes up ill ask my wife if she can lend me her saber to knock some sense into you". 

Cody jumped at his brother's outburst "im still gonna be there when it comes time to ring that Sith's neck.....im not backing down on that". Bly nodded before Cody finally he re-entered Barrises room. 

Bly nodded to his men before turning around and walking down the hall, wishing he already knew where the sith was so he and his brothers could beat the force out of them.
