chapter 11

it was the next day and it was Jay's day off so it was just me and mouse playing video games and talking.

"So how's you and Erin," I asked jay causing Mouse to smirk a bit.

"com on really there is nothing going on between us," he said. "but there is one question that is desperate to know is are you going to see your dad in jail"

"ermm it's a bit complicated I do then I don't I haven't seen him since I was a kid," I said.

"you have a couple more days free so I can get in contact with the Jail to get you to see him hoes that," h said.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you," I said kissing his cheek?

we were talking a bit more until I got a phone call.

"who is it," the mouse asked.

"it's jake," I said answering the phone and looking at the lads who looking more confused than me.

"Hey Jake you okay," I asked.

"Yeah I'm great how are you and the other lads," h asked?

"We are great yeah how can I help you," I asked.

"well me, Captain, and the rest of the gang are coming to Chicago for an Event seems as though we all got a break and I thought why not get in touch with you to go out drinking," he said.

"that sounds amazing when you landing," I said.

"well it's your lucky day because there are 4 hours left of this flight," he said laughing.

"well I will let the boys now and we will meet you at a bar," I said smiling from ear to ear.

"you got it to give us the information and we will meet you there," h said. we said our goodbyes and I hung up. I looked to the boys and said "how would you boys like to see Jake and captain Andrews today"

"wait what," mouse said.

"there landing with the other unit and they have an event here in Chicago and they want to meet and go drinking," I said.

"ill go call logan," jay said running to grab his phone from his room.

4 HOURS LATER

we were all getting ready to go out, logan had obviously agreed to meet us and was already at our place.

I was wearing some jeans, a navy blue shirt, and some hairs wearing my tags around my neck. jay was wearing a button-up green shirt with jeans and his signature boots, mouse wearing a crew neck jumper and jeans and logan was wearing a flannel shirt and jeans. 

I got a text from Jake saying that they were at the bar now.

"lads let's go," I said walking out of the door.

we had all drove in my car so we can leave it at Molly's at getting plastered.

we walked in to see it was quite busy obviously people from med 51 and intelligence was there and then I saw them still in their uniforms sat right in the corner.

we walked over and I wrapped my arms around Jake's neck and said in a joking way "hey handsome" 

he turned around and hugged me "hello beautiful" in a joking way back we all hugged and sat down.

"so Halstead I heard you are a big shot detective" cap said.

"oh yeah you heard right" jay laughed.

"what are the rest of you doing for a living now you have left me," Jake said looking right at me.

"hold up I asked you to come with me back home" I laughed.

Hermann then came over. "hey guys can I get you anything"

"Another round please Hermann" Mouse said.

"Coming right up," he said walking off.

"Hey, what's this event thing you're doing," I asked.

"it's like an event of firefighters, medics, police officers and military people for like a gala event or something, I didn't read the email properly," Jake said.

"you were supposed to read all of it," Andrew said.

"hey look if you wanna read it. it has the list of people or groups going if you wanna look" jake said handing me his phone.

I look at it his phone and saw the 21st district, firehouse 51, Chicago med and Captain Andrews rangers unit.

"well it looks like all of us are going," I said putting the phone down.

"what do you mean," Logan asked.

"well the 21st district, med and firehouse 51 is all on there and I am sure logan if you asked nicely you will be able to join Andrew," I said.

"depends when it is I am a very busy person cass" he said sarcastically.

"what playing on your PlayStation," I said

"np not just that but I have a fiancee to love and care for," he said.

"hmm yeh okay," I said

*couple of hours later*

it was like 2 in the morning and we had decided to call it a night as though none of us could walk straight. we all said our goodbyes and I dragged both mouse and jay with me,

once we got home all three of us crashed.
