"I don't want you to go!" Maddie said with a glum expression as she sat on the couch next to Carina. Today was the day that the family of three had been dreading to come, it was the day that Carina is due to leave for the airport later in the day and to say Maddie was taking it well would be an understatement.

"I know you don't Bambina. I don't want to go either," Carina told the teenager as she ran her hands through the teenager's blonde hair.

"Then stay," Maddie stated like it was that simple. Carina frowned.

"We've been over this Maddie. I can't, it's just not that simple as I wish it could be," Carina said as she watched Maddie begin to get upset, "Come here Piccola," She motioned for her daughter to move into her arms so she could comfort her in a hug.

"When will you come back?" Maddie asked.

"It's hard to say right now Bambina but I need you to promise me that you will behave your Mom," Carina said as she looked at the teenager who was pouting. "Please Bambina?" She asked.

"I promise Mama," Maddie said as she continued to pout.

"Grazie, Tesoro," Carina said as she placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head.

"You know," Andy started as she walked over to Maya's office, spotting her standing straight forward and staring out of a window. Maya jumped in surprise when she saw her best friend. "You delaying going home is not gonna stop Carina from leaving," She said.

"I should be running home, wanting to soak up every last minute with her, but..." Maya started to say.

"It sucks, I-" Andy said with a sigh as she moved further into the office and leant against furniture. "As someone who recently weathered a separation from the one she loves, I wish I could say it won't suck, but... it will."

"Ah, so inspiring. Thank you." Maya said as she rested her hands against the back of the chair and Andy chuckled. "I keep thinking maybe I should just propose, and then she won't have to leave. Actually, Maddie gave me the idea about it." She admitted.

Andy nodded and then pointed in her direction. "Well, um, as someone who also r-recently got married super fast, I... i-it's not the solution to your problems." She told her best friend with the shake of her head before standing up and walking towards her, "You two are meant to be. You've... You'll get through this." The brunette patted her best friends shoulder. "Now, go home and soak up every minute. Go be a family of three. Make sure you soak it up. I'm serious." She said as she backed out the door.

"Yeah. Mm-hmm," Maya mumbled with a brief nod. Andy stared at her friend for a moment before heading out of work since her shift was now over.

Maya remained still in her office, leaning against the chairs as she inhaled a deep breath before moving to grab her stuff to quickly change before heading home.

"Uh, Mama, why are you staring at an empty suitcase?" Maddie walked past her moms' bedroom to find Carina staring at an empty suitcase.

"I'm trying to figure it out," Carina mumbled.

"Uh, what are you exactly trying to figure out?" Maddie asked dumbfound.

"What to take," Carina paused with a sigh. "I don't know what to pack or where to even start," She continued to confess.

"Well, I think clothes would be a good start," Maddie couldn't help but cheekily say.

"Very funny Bambina," Carina said with a slight smile.

Maddie moved to plonk herself down on the bed, "I thought you would have been packed already," She said confused.

"No, well I guess I have just been putting it off until last hour," Carina said. Maddie couldn't help but giggle.
