"Just our luck to get a call out like this near the end of shift," Travis grumbled as he hopped out of the fire truck and looked at the scene in front of him.

"It's bad luck," Maya said, chuckling in agreement.

Walking around to the other side of the truck, she fastened her helmet on the top of her head.

"Alright, 19! Let's put this fire out quickly and safely, and get back in time for the end of the shift!" Beckett ordered.

"Bishop! Montgomery! I want you inside that house, find out if there are any civilians inside!" He added, turning his attention to the two firefighters.

"Copy that, Captain!" Maya muttered.

The two chucked on the rest of their gear and headed inside the building, searching for people.

"I really do despise that man sometimes," Travis complained.

"Agreed there, Montgomery," Maya said as she laughed.

"Seattle Fire Department, call out! Anybody there?" The blonde called aloud.

Maddie decided to join Carina at the hospital, well it was more like she didn't have much choice in the matter since she was suspended.

The brunette woman thought it would be a good idea for her daughter to get out of the apartment since she spent the rest of the time in her bedroom willingly.

The teenager's mental health was taking a drastic turn, she was struggling to deal with her diagnosis and the urge to cut was becoming even more triggering every single day.

Every single day there was the urge to just cut.

However, right now the only feeling that Maddie felt was nauseous, and currently, she had her face in the toilet as she threw up her breakfast from earlier.

"Bambina?" Carina appeared in the doorway of the bathroom.

"I... I'm in here," Maddie groaned, lifting her head up from the toilet seat.

Carina walked into the bathroom cubicle and frowned slightly when she saw the state of her daughter.

"Oh, Bambina. Are you not feeling well?" The brunette questioned.

Maddie threw her head back on the toilet seat and groaned slightly.

"I- I'm okay, I just think that I ate something bad," The teenager told her.

"Probably something that Mom cooked," She added as a joke.

"Bambina!" Carina lightly scolded her daughter, although she couldn't help but laugh.

Maddie moved to slowly sit up and move away from the toilet.

"I'm... I'm alright, I just need some water," The young blonde said weakly.

"Okay, well, I'll get you some Tylenol and that should help," Carina said, sighing.

"Thanks, Mama," Maddie said, feeling exhausted.

"Come on, lets' get you back to my office and you can lie down and rest," Carina suggested, wrapping an arm around her daughter.

Luckily, the walk to the office wasn't too long from where the bathroom was. Carina helped her daughter settle on the couch, wrapping a blanket around her that she kept in here for times like today.

"Comfy?" The woman asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay," Maddie said tiredly.

Carina frowned slightly at the state of her daughter, as she reached for the Tylenol out of her desk drawer.
