Chapter 96

Anna POV

The next day was hectic. CPS went to Riley and Annie's house and checked their living conditions. They had a nice house on the outside, but on the inside was a different story

"Where's your room Riley?" The CPS agent asked. He looked at me and I told him it was ok. He let go off my hand and lead us to his room

It was an empty room. Bare walls, one light,and a blanket and pillow. No bed, no sign that there was a sweet little boy living there.

"This is my room. I don't like it like how I love my new room at my mommy and daddy's house" he said with his head down

"Please don't make me go back to my old mother and father. I love my new mommy and daddy. I feel safe with them" He said coming back over and hugging my leg and waist

"I'll try my best to let you be with them, but you got to help me" she said with a smile

"Thank you Miss. Turner" Riley said

"Now can you show me where Annie's room is" she asked

He nodded and held back onto my hand and pulled us out of the room and to hers

Annie's room was the same although she had an actual mattress, but it was still not fit to keep a child in. I never realized what some kids go through. Annie and Riley didn't have the same privilege Y/N and I had growing up. Granted, they did live in a big nice house, but inside it was dull, depressing even.

Ms. Turner wrote more stuff down and took more pictures "I think that's all I need to get Riley and Annie a safe environment. Of course I will need to have a visit to your home and make sure that they do indeed have a safe environment, but I highly doubt I'll find a problem" she said with a smile

We walked back downstairs to see Y/N sitting with Sage, Annie, and the twins. When she saw us she quickly stood up "Mrs. Y/L/N, I can assure you that Riley and Annie will soon be safe for good" She said which made Y/N smile

"What in the world is going on here?" we heard a man yell as we were all talking. We turned around and were face to face with Mr and Mrs Andrews

I saw Annie hide behind Y/N and Riley clutched onto my hand tighter than before

"How about you go sit over with Sage and the twins" I told Riley and he nodded hesitantly

"Fred Andrews?" The Ms. Turner said walking over to him

"That is me" he said with a look of anger on his face

"I'm with Child Protective Services and you my friend are not looking to good in this situation" she said

"That's impossible. We've done nothing wrong" Mrs. Andrew said crossing her arms

"Then where have you and Mrs. Andrews been?" Ms. Turner asked. He opened and closed his mouth trying to come up with something

"Exactly" Y/N said

I cut my eyes to her

"You. I can't believe I let you around my kids! I should've know you were no good!" He argued

"Me? Have you seen what I've seen? Abuse is what I've seen!" Y/N yelled

"Y/N enough!" I told her

"You have no right to be in my home" he said

"Actually we have a warrant to be here" Ms. Turner said showing him the paper. He clenched his jaw and turned a bright red like his hair

"You'll be hearing from my lawyers" he said "Now hand over my son and daughter before I make you" he said
