Tubbo and Puffy stared at Tommy in awe and confusion.

"What?" He asked.

Tubbo opened his mouth to answer but Puffy interrupted him.

"We need to stall." She said and slowly, slid open the door beside her.

"Hands in the air!" The loud speaker called and Tubbo held up his hand.

"Do we do this as humans?" He asked. "It might be an easier way out."

Captain Puffy considered it for three seconds and then slid gracefully out of the door, transforming as she went. She lifted her hands in the air and called out to the dozen cops standing by the road.

"Me and my son need help!" She called, making her voice shake slightly. "There is a Hybrid keeping him hostage in the car!"

The policemen looked at her in surprise. One stepped forward and walked down the path to her, halting ten feet from her.

"Ma'am, I'm Captain Daniels, can you give us information on the Hybrid? What powers does he posses?" The man asked.

Puffy stepped towards him slowly and a tear slid down her cheek.

"I don't know, Captain, but my baby is in there, he needs help!" Her voice cracked at the last word and she lowered her head, allowing tears to run down her cheeks.

"Wow," Tommy muttered from the car. "She is a great actress."

Tubbo nodded in agreement.

Puffy walked forward another few steps and the Captain leaned back slightly.

"Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you to stop right there." He said. "I want to help you, Ma'am, but I have to follow procedures, if you can understand."

Captain Puffy looked at the man and stopped, nodding her ascent.

A strange sound filled the air, growing louder as it came.

"Oh no...." Tubbo murmured fearfully as he looked out the windows.

"What?!" Tommy demanded.

The sullen thud-thud-thud came closer and the ancient trees started to buckle sideways as the air slammed down on them.

"It's a helicopter..." Tubbo said softly.

>-----------<

Captain Puffy glanced up in horror as the helicopter hovered above the treetops and men dressed completely in black lassoed down to the ground on life lines.

Puffy leapt forward and onto the Captain of the police, twisting him around in a vice grip, her around his head in a neck snap position. The man immediately froze, though Puffy heard a curse escape his lips.

"I'm sorry." She said into the man's ear.

"Tubbo! Tommy! Get out, let's go!" She yelled, watching the other police officers on the road. They would not attack when she held their Captain hostage.

Tubbo kicked his door open and Tommy followed, coming to stand behind Puffy.

"What are you doing?!" She hissed at them, not breaking eye-contact with the officers.

"I'm staying with you." Tubbo said firmly, looking anxiously above them.

"Tubbo, listen to me, these people have no regard for our lives, do you understand? They will slaughter you before you can lift your hands in surrender. They are monsters." She said harshly.

"I'm staying with you." Tubbo said again, his voice even, but Tommy saw the slight hesitation in his stance.

"Tubbo, damn it, stop playing the hero and go, take Tommy home. He might very well be the thing we have been waiting for. He could change the world as we know it."

Puffy watched as the black-clad soldiers manoeuvred their way through the tree's branches. If it hadn't been for the trees, they would have surrounded them already.

"GO, TUBBO!" Puffy yelled and hurt flickered across Tubbo's face. Captain Puffy watched as the first of the soldiers hit the forest floor and started to run to them.

She looked to Tubbo and and shifted her hand, pulling it around Captain Daniels's throat. She pulled the young Hybrid closer to her.

"I love you." She said and kissed him on the forehead. A single tear slid down her cheek and this time it was real. She shoved Tubbo away from her.

"GO!" She yelled.

Tubbo nodded and leapt to his feet, turning around and running deeper into the forest, Tommy sprinting behind him.

Tommy glanced back to the white-haired woman and saw her shed her human form, her hair glistening a million colors. She shoved the captain away from her and dove fearlessly at the Guard.

She moved fast as lightning, kicking out with her powerful hooves and bringing the Guard down to his knees before smashing her head into his. The Guard fell to the forest floor, unconscious.

Another dozen black-clad men surrounded her and Puffy disappeared from sight.

Tommy focused all his thoughts on running as another twenty Guards streamed into the forest behind him and Tubbo.

Tommy pumped his legs faster, nearly flying over the forest floor, dodging tree trunks and fallen logs. A small layer of snow coated the earth and Tommy carefully kept his balance to keep from slipping and falling.

He glanced back once.

Captain Puffy was being loaded into a white van.

Thirty Guards were chasing after them... and they were gaining.
