They Come and Go

"Fundy?!" Tommy couldn't help the surprise in his voice. 

Tommy had so many questions. 

Why was Fundy here?

Where were the rest? 

Why was he human?!

"How the heck are you human?" He asked through the slit. 

Fundy shrugged in answer. 

"I don't know. I came back from a session--" Venom filled Fundy's voice as he spat out that word. "--And when I came back, I was like this." Fundy looked at his hand, as if to prove a point. 

"Do you know where the others are?" Tommy asked and Fundy shook his head. 

"I haven't seen them since that night." 

"Can you tell me what happened?" Tommy asked. He needed answers. 

"As you know, I went down to look for them, right?" 

Tommy nodded. 

"Well, thing is, I think they were expecting us. Technoblade, Schlatt, Tubbo and Bad had walked into a trap. The sounds, those explosions, it wasn't them. It was decoy bombs placed so we would think they were busy while we got Puffy." 

That would explain why Wilbur thought something was wrong. That was why he was worried about what Techno and rest were doing. 

"I went down there and stepped into the same trap." Fundy said and then looked at him anxiously. 

Tommy knew what was coming next. 

"Are the others okay?" Fundy asked. 

Tommy hesitated. What was he supposed to tell the fox-- human?

"Tommy." There was a hard edge to Fundy's words. Tommy sighed and nodded. 

"Wilbur took Puffy, while me and Phil took Sapnap. We went home. I was so tired that night when we got back I immediately went to sleep." 

"Wait Phil?" Fundy asked. 

"Yeah. He helped me carry Sapnap." Tommy left out the part where he nearly flew into an electric fence and killed them both.

"That morning when I woke up Wilbur was worried about you guys and the Quackity woke up." 

"Quackity? Is he okay?" Fundy asked. Tommy nodded. 

"Yeah, but he told us a shocking piece of information. The scientist could track me and Wilbur because I am the Umbre and he is the Lumina. Wilbur said we should leave immediately and everyone went to the back of the cavern. I flew to get Niki... when they attacked." 

"They flew a hole through the waterfall and had helicopters and drones. Wil and I freed Niki from boulders and then stood to buy them more time. We took on the helicopters." 

Tommy relayed the battle to Fundy all the way to the point where Tommy unleashed his own power. He lied there, saying one of the helicopters blew up from a well timed beam from Wil. 

Fundy looked doubtful but nodded. 

"Then Wilbur collapsed and got shot by a Guard and I got tranquilized. Now, I'm here." 

Fundy sat back as Tommy finished his tale and a thoughtful look crowded his face. 

"What do we do, Fundy?" Tommy asked and leaned against the wall. 

"I don't know, Tommy, I've tried to get out but the glass is too thick. This slit was all I could do before they turned me back." 

Tommy nodded slowly. What were they going to do then? 

"Do you know where the others are?" He asked. 

"No." Fundy shook his head. "If I'm right then this is one of the serious facilities they have. They split everyone up and nobody leaves their cells unless it's for a session." 

"Oh..." Tommy said. A faint noise caught his attention and he looked to the hall. The cell were the pale hybrid had been was a buzz with activity. People in yellow suits and oxygen tanks came in a cleaned it, removing the linen. 

"They're preparing the cell for a new hybrid." Fundy said. 

"What about the other one?" Tommy asked. 

The empty look in Fundy's eyes said everything. 

"Oh..." 

Tommy moved back to his bed and buried himself deep in his covers. There, where they couldn't see him, see his weakness, Tommy cried. 

Here he was, with a broken home once more. The people he knew and loved were either dead or being tortured. Tommy wondered if this was what his life was going to be. 

An endless cycle of pain and eventually, when they didn't need him anymore, he would end up like that dead-eyed hybrid. 

So, with tears streaming from his face, Tommy fell into a restless sleep.

Well Guys, I think that's about it for today. I think my speedwrite was a huge success. I ended with seven chapters. Thank you guys for reading them and let me go take care of myself real quick.
