"I'd like to see Yoongi and Sophia first date, if that happened? And I don't mean them going to the dance or them as teenagers. I mean like when they're kids and Sophia declares Yoongi her boyfriend. If they had a cute kid date, omg, I'd love to see that!"Notes:
This is when Yoongi and Sophia were in elementary school and were "boyfriend and girlfriend". Namjoon and Seokjin were still dating and not yet engaged.Ages of the Characters:
Jin - 24
Jackson (new) - 24
Namjoon - 23
Yoongi - 7
Sophia - 6
Hoseok - 6
Jimin - 4
Taehyung - 4
Jungkook - 2
Amelia - 21 months"Bye, Terrell," Jin waved to the little boy being escorted out of the center by his mother. Once they were gone, he turned around to face the last three boys in the center. "Alright, time to clean up so we can go get Yoongi and Hoseok."
Jimin and Taehyung immediately started picking up the blocks and putting them on the shelves, but Jungkook wasn't so eager to put up his art supplies. Jin walked over to the toddler and crouched down next to him. "Are you still working on it?" Jungkook nodded and Jin looked over the expanse of supplies the two-year-old had dragged off the shelves as soon as he had come over to the preschool room when the toddler teacher left for the day. "Are you using all of these?"
Jungkook shook his head. "Just crayons~"
"Okay, well how about I clean up the rest of it while you finish your picture, and then when I, Jimin, and Taehyung are done, we'll put the crayons up, okay?" Jungkook nodded and happily continued scribbling on his piece of paper while Jin started gathering up the markers, colored pencils, and watercolors.
Once all three boys, and Jin, finished cleaning up the room, and Jin had locked up the building, they drove over to Abuela Martinez's house to pick Yoongi and Hoseok up. As soon as they walked inside, Jin was ambushed by a demanding six-year-old. "Mr. Jin!" Sophia ran up to him. "Can Yoongi and I go on a date tomorrow?"
"You wanna go on a date?" The two had been 'dating' for almost four weeks now, but even still, the 24-year-old was surprised that they wanted to go on an actual date. "Did you ask your mommy if it's okay?"
Sophia nodded, pointing to the kitchen where Jin can now see Sophia's mother was sitting with Abuela Martinez. "She said to ask you."
"Ah~" Jin said in understanding. "Well, let me go talk to her for a second, okay?"
After Jin spoke to Sophia's mother, he realized that what she had meant by asking Jin was for Sophia to ask if he would go with them. She would be working the next day and unable to chaperone them, so she wanted to make sure he would have been available to chaperone them before giving explicit permission to the first graders. They agreed that Jin would pick Sophia up from (and drop the four younger boys off at) Abuela Martinez's house the next afternoon to take her and Yoongi to the movies, then bring her back and pick up the boys afterwards.
Jin then took the boys home for their family night, meeting Namjoon already waiting outside in his car with the pizzas he'd promised to pick up. "Well, hello there~" Jin greeted, giving him a quick kiss before leading everyone into the house. The three younger boys went to put their backpacks in their rooms while Yoongi and Hoseok left their activity bags by the door (as they were on spring break) and ran straight to the back door to let in their brand-new puppies they had gotten as an adoption present that previous Sunday. "Do you want to go to the movies tomorrow?" Seokjin asked Namjoon, taking the pizza boxes from the younger male and setting them on the table.
"Why, Seokjin Kim," Namjoon playfully pulled Jin closer to himself, "are you asking me on a date?"
Jin laughed at his boyfriend's antics and slightly pushed him away so he could grab plates. "Not exactly," Namjoon pouted at that, so Jin quickly kissed it away before continuing. "Yoongi and Sophia want to go on a 'date' tomorrow and I'm chaperoning. I thought you might like to come along."
"Well, Jackson wanted to hang out tomorrow for his birthday..." Namjoon started, "but he's probably just wanting to get a few drinks or something, so that can wait until after the movie."
"Good, because I wasn't gonna let you say no," Jin joked, moving to get drinks for the boys as the five of them started gathering in the living room for the movie night. "We'll come pick you up around 2:00 then go get Sophia."

Jin was driving the minivan, Namjoon in the passenger seat beside him. The both of them were listening to the giggles coming from the two children in the backseat. Yoongi had taken this date very seriously, putting on clothes usually reserved for church, and it seemed Sophia had the same thought as she was wearing a purple dress with floral leggings. Yoongi had also insisted on paying for the date himself (using Jin's money of course).
"We have to hold hands!" Sophia insisted, and when Jin looked in the rearview mirror at them, he could see her grabbing Yoongi's hand with hers.
"Why?"
"Mr. Jin and Mr. Joon are boyfriends!" Sophia exclaimed. "They're holding hands, so we have to hold hands!" Yoongi nodded with wide eyes, realizing how right she was, and tightened his grip on her hand. Meanwhile, Jin and Namjoon were both having to hold back squeals from how adorable the two of them were being.
They finally arrived at the theater and walked up to the ticket booth outside of the building. At Yoongi's insistence, Jin and Namjoon let him and Sophia walk ahead of them to get their tickets separately. "Two tickets for Mulan, please~" Yoongi said to the employee, putting the $20 that Jin had given him into the designated space, just the way Jin had told him to do that morning.
The employee glanced up at Jin, who was not doing a very good job concealing how much he was enjoying this whole scenario, before taking the money and printing off the tickets for the two kids.
After Jin and Namjoon got their tickets, the four of them went inside the building and straight to the concession stand, where Yoongi and Sophia again ordered by themselves. Once they were in the actual theater, Jin and Namjoon settled into their seats two rows behind where Yoongi and Sophia were sitting, giving them their space and independence while also being close enough to keep an eye on them in case something bad happened.
"So," Namjoon said, watching Yoongi and Sophia talk as they waited for the movie to start. "How do you think this little thing is going to last?"
Jin watched as Yoongi cutely offered Sophia some of his sour gummy worms. "Oh, this specific thing right here will probably last a few more weeks at the most. But they're totally getting married one day."
Namjoon turned to look at his boyfriend. "You think so?"
Jin nodded, shoving some popcorn in his mouth before speaking again. "I'm already naming their future children as we speak." Namjoon smiled at them man next to him, secretly thinking about their own wedding in the future, if Jin were to agree to stick with him that long. "What?"
Namjoon shook his head. "Nothing~" He took Jin's hand in his and intertwined their fingers, gently pressing his lips to the back of Jin's hand before turning back to the screen just as the lights dimmed.
