The second day at sea was somewhat of a lazy day for the family. The majority of it was spent lounging by or in the pool. However, there were a few activities some of the members did participate in. Jin went to a seminar to learn how to fold towels into various animals, like how they were found on their beds at the end of each day. Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook went to a food and wine pairing, Jimin because he obviously enjoyed a nice drink, Hoseok because he wanted to be able to tell Gabriella about the experience when he got back home, and Jungkook because he needed an excuse to have some away time from Jayden, as the man had been pretty much glued to Jungkook's side since they made up from their argument the previous day. Yoongi and Sophia took their kids to a special Build-a-Bear event to get a new friend for each of their daughters. Taehyung and Kortni participated in a soccer challenge while their sons acted as their personal cheerleaders.
After all the fun, the family was enjoying dinner together. "You know," Hoseok said thoughtfully, enjoying a bite of his zucchini and eggplant parmigiana. "I think this is almost as good as when Gabby makes it." He picked up his wine glass to take a sip of the choice wine for the night.
"And there he goes again~" Jungkook teased his older brother, ignoring Jayden's hand that was rubbing his thigh. "Tell us again how amazing your Italian girlfriend is." Hoseok glared at him, and Jungkook just laughed as he took a bite of his salmon.
"Well, I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that you love her cooking better than gourmet chefs on a cruise." Jin said, gaining a few stray laughs from Jimin, his favorite child.
"Hey, Dad," Jin and Namjoon both looked towards Taehyung, "we were wondering if you could watch Austin and Caleb tonight."
Sophia quickly swallowed her mouthful of pork, so she could speak too. "And the girls, we were all thinking about going to that 'beach' party tonight."
Yoongi looked up wide eyed, seeming as if that had not been discussed with him previously. "Since when are we going?" He inquired, knowing that the rest of his brothers had decided on it, but he and his wife had not had any conversation pertaining to the party.
"Since I wanted to have a date night with my husband who I love so much, but if you don't want to spend time with me, I get it." Yoongi rolled his eyes at Sophia's words, but agreed to go to the party anyway.
"Yeah, I may or may not have packed a few games to play with the greatest grandchildren in the world." Jin commented, smiling at each of the kids before placing a shrimp in his mouth.
A few hours later, Namjoon was convinced that Jin secretly hated him after the task he had been given. "Caleb, hold still~" Namjoon muttered as he tried to pull the preschooler's pajama shirt over his head. By the time he finally got it, he was sweating and panting, feeling like he had just run a marathon. Once his heart rate had gone down to a normal speed, he turned to the four-year-old girl that was jumping on the bed. "Okay, your turn." Before Namjoon could even pick up Chloe's pink, monkey pajamas, she took off running around the room.
"You can't catch me!"
Namjoon slumped back on the bed and looked over at Jin, who was feeding Presley a bottle as he rocked her to sleep. "Why did you give me the hard job?"
"Because I love baby cuddles." Jin said, holding Presley close to him. "And it's funny to watch you chase small children down." Jin quietly laughed as Namjoon tried to grab Chloe, finally succeeding as Sammie came out of the bathroom in her yellow and purple polka dot pajamas. "Hey, as soon as you're done dressing Chloe, can you give Austin his bath?" He used his head to gesture to the six-year-old that was playing an educational game on Namjoon's iPad. The 44-year-old shot his husband a playful glare. "What? Presley's not asleep yet!" Jin defended himself, looking down at the infant whose eyes were starting to droop as she continuously sucked down her formula.
