"My dad's probably going to try to intimidate or scare you, just ignore that. He's just putting on a façade, and my mom will probably force him to stop after about a minute anyway." It was after lunch and Sammie was trying to prep Jake for the pre-prom dinner her dad had insisted on while the older boy walked her to her class. "Just talk about music and he'll be sold. And ask my mom lots about her job, she really loves her job and loves it when people take interest. Chloe...she likes everybody, so you don't have to worry about her." Jake chuckled quietly as they exited the staircase and walked down the hall. "And remember, Presley and Adam are autistic. Once Presley warms up to you, she'll start talking. It'll help if you ask her about sharks or any Disney movie, those are her favorite things in the world. But Adam will not respond to you at all, so if you do try to talk to him, don't get upset when he doesn't answer."

"I got it, Sammie~" Jake rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. "You've been telling me all of this for weeks now. Tonight will go fine." The 15-year-old opened her mouth to worry some more, but Jake cut her off. "It'll go great, I'm really excited to meet your family."

Sammie blushed slightly. "I'm excited for you to meet them too," she said quietly as they came to a stop in front of one of the many classrooms down that hall.

"I believe this is world history with Mrs. Day." Jake said, and Sammie thanked him for walking her to her class. He responded by leaning in to gently press his lips to hers.

Their lips had just barely touched when a teacher's voice caused them to jump apart. "PDA is against school rules, break it up, Mr. McDaniel!"

"Sorry, Mrs. Albert!" The 16-year-old called back to his calculus teacher that was just down the hall. He turned back to Sammie and squeezed her hand. "See you later?" Sammie nodded with a smile, squeezing his hand back before letting go and walking inside her classroom.

The doorbell rang, so Yoongi stood up from the couch to answer it, only to be stopped by his oldest daughter running out of her bedroom. "Don't you dare open that door!" Yoongi threw his hands up in surrender and waited just outside the living room for his daughter to bring her boyfriend in to introduce him.

Sammie smiled brightly at Jake as she opened the door for him. "Hi~"
"Hi," Jake responded with a smile of his own as the girl let him inside the house. "Does your family have rules about shoes or anything? My mom doesn't let me walk in the house with shoes on."

Sammie shook her head. "You can leave them on or take them off, whatever makes you most comfortable." Jake slipped his shoes off before Sammie lead him out of the entranceway and into the hall, where Yoongi was standing in the doorway to the living room with his arms crossed. "Daddy, this is Jake. Jake, this is my dad."
