The drive to Galveston wasn't too long, so the family took their time getting around in the morning, enjoying the breakfast the hotel provided before finally repacking the cars and checking out. They stopped for Mexican food for lunch once they arrived in the port town, and once everyone was fed, they made their way to where they would board the ship. It was a joint family effort to keep the four youngest children from getting restless while waiting in line to be checked in, as they wanted to run around and explore instead of staying in one spot. Eventually, they made it through, got their room keys, and dropped off their luggage for it to be taken to their cabins, then they could enjoy the beauty of the ship.
"It's so pretty!" Caleb exclaimed, staring around the ship in wonder as Taehyung carried him.
"Ooh, a bar!" Jimin said excitedly, moving towards it until someone pulled him back.
"At least wait until the ship has already set sail." Jin practically begged his son before pulling him to continue exploring the ship with the rest of the family.
After walking around, they found a cluster of tables to sit at, agreeing to wait until the crowd thinned a bit before trying to find their cabins. Jimin excused himself to make a call, and Hoseok watched him suspiciously. "Ciao Bella Salon, this is Chasity speaking."
Jimin scratched the back of his neck, always getting slightly nervous whenever he called Rosie at work. "Can I speak to Rosie please?"
The lady on the phone told him to wait just one moment and a few seconds later, Rosie was on the phone. "You're lucky I'm waiting for my client's hair to set right now." He smiled at the sound of her giggle. "What did you need?"
Jimin shrugged even though she couldn't see him. "I just wanted to talk to you before we left."
They spoke for a few minutes until Rosie had to go and check on her client, at which point Jimin said goodbye and turned his phone off for the week. When he made it back to his family, he was welcomed with one of the staff holding a menu of some sorts in front of them. "And these are the wine packages we offer."
"Wine?" Jimin asked, immediately sliding back into his original seat. It didn't take much discussion before Jin was ordering one of the packages in order for the family to enjoy a couple of bottles of wine each night during dinner. Jin also ordered the bottomless bubbles package for the children, insisting that it would be cheaper rather than having to pay any time the kids ordered a drink, ignoring Yoongi and Taehyung's attempted rejections.
When it was time, they attended the mandatory safety briefing before going back outside to do the stereotypical waving to the people at the port, with the exception of Yoongi who opted to sit at the table where there were no people. Sammie decided to sit with her dad, so he wouldn't be lonely, even though she really wanted to wave to people, because she loved him. Then the family went on a journey to find their cabins, which was surprisingly an easy feat. "Okay, this is the kids' room~" Jin opened the door to the room that would be housing the two preschoolers and their older siblings. "And our luggage is outside each of our respective rooms. Dinner is at 6:00, so I'll see you then."
The family then split up, with the parents of the young children helping their kids get settled in their cabin. Jin immediately fell on the bed, leaving Namjoon to bring their suitcases into the room. "Is this what relaxation feels like?"
"It's kind of sad that you actually have to question that." Namjoon pointed out as he climbed onto the bed, opting to lay on top of his husband and bury his face in his neck. "But yes, I think it is."
Jin subconsciously turned his head slightly as soon as he felt Namjoon's lips coming into contact with the skin of his neck to give him more room to work with. "I'm thinking of offering to keep Presley in our room tonight...give Yoongi and Sophia a short break."
