Jin shut off his alarm with a groan, sticking one hand out of the warmth of his covers to search for his glasses. Once his hand came into contact with them, he slipped them on and reached out for his phone. He opened his eyes just enough to be able to see what was on the screen, starting his morning routine of scrolling through his social media until he fully woke up before getting ready for school. Once he deemed himself awake enough, he set his phone back down and climbed out of bed, stretching before grabbing a clean pair of underwear and heading to the bathroom to both empty his bladder and take a shower.

The incessant need to pee was soon forgotten as he stepped into the bathroom and caught sight of his dog. "Jjanggu, no!" He lunged towards where the small dog was and immediately separated him from his chosen breakfast, only to find that he was too late. He stared at what used to be the packet that contained his last pair of contacts in distress, dropping the chewed up cardboard as he sat up on his knees to grab his contact lens case in hopes that he'd forgotten to throw the old pair away the night before. He groaned when he all he found was empty space, cursing his memory for not failing him.

"Mom!" He called out as he got up from the floor, leaving the bathroom in search of his mother. "Jjanggu ate my last pair of contacts!"

"Great, so I'm going to have a sick dog to take care of on my day off." His mom complained as she waited for her coffee to be ready.

"That's not the point, Mom!" Jin cried, still making sure to keep his voice quiet enough that he wouldn't waken the ogre snoring away in his chair in the living room, as he definitely wasn't in the mood to deal with him. "What am I supposed to do without contacts?!"

Jin's mom sighed as she pulled her cup away from the Keurig and grabbed her creamer to fix up her coffee exactly the way she liked. "I'll call the eye doctor today to see if we can get your next order in early. But until then, you're just going to have to wear your glasses."

Jin blinked at his mom. "Are you sure you can't call the school and tell them I have mono?" She looked at him with an unamused look. "My glasses make me look weird and ugly!"

"I think you look very handsome in them."

"You have to say that, you're my mother!" Jin whined, but it was obvious his mom wasn't going to budge. He groaned again. "I'm going to go shower now."

After finishing his morning routine, and many more failed attempts at convincing his mom to let him stay home, Seokjin was finally parking his car in one of the few empty spots in the school parking lot. He took a deep breath to center himself before climbing out of the car, keeping his head down in an attempt to not draw unnecessary attention to him.

He managed to not have anyone look at him as he stepped into his first and favorite class of the day: Theatre. It was as he sat down in his seat that someone finally seemed to notice that he was wearing glasses instead of contacts and paid too much attention to them for Jin's comfort. He glanced over to see Sandeul, one of the seniors in the class who's assigned seat was right next to him, looking over at him again. "I didn't know you wore glasses." Sandeul commented before Jin could not so politely ask him what he wanted. "They're nice."

Jin scoffed a bit. "I know they look weird, but thanks anyway."

Sandeul tilted his head a bit in confusion. "But they don't look weird?" Now it was Jin who sported a confused look. "They're really cute...like you." The last two words were said so quietly that Jin was sure he'd imagined them, but either way his face was now burning from the compliment.

"Oh...well, thank you~" He said awkwardly turning back to face the front just as the bell to start the day again. However, throughout the class period, the 16-year-old found himself glancing over at the older male on occasion. He's pretty cute too-wait, what?
