"When's Jihyo gonna be here?" Amelia asked after the three friends were seated at their table at Cracker Barrel. "I've waited so long to meet her!"

"You could have met her months ago, but you just had to go to California for grad school." Yugyeom retorted before answering her question. "But she'll be here in a few minutes, one of her lessons ran late."

Amelia started asking more questions about the woman who'd captured Yugyeom's heart while Jungkook tuned them out, focusing on the peg board game found on every table in the restaurant. His attention was dragged away from the game by Amelia elbowing him. "Ow! What?!" He asked as he rubbed his ribcage.

"I asked you how that support group was going." Amelia said, obviously trying to mask the pity she felt for him, but Jungkook could still see it in her eyes.

He shrugged, looking back down at the game. "Fine~"

"Are you making friends?"

Jungkook gave his best friend a look. "You sound exactly like my dad when I started kindergarten."

Yugyeom raised his hands in surrender. "I'm only asking because it's important that you feel comfortable and relate to the people in your group. If you don't then-"

"Then it won't be effective, yeah, you've told me that a dozen times." Jungkook said, a hint of playfulness in his tone. "There might be one or two people that I'm kind of friends with..."

That was true. Within a few weeks of going to the support group, the 25 year was questioning if the two people he'd spoken to on his first night were tag teaming him to get him to open up. Jisoo always caught him when he first arrived and right before he left to converse with him while Seungcheol would corner him by the refreshment table and whisper to him during the actual meetings. At first Jungkook didn't like it, because he was only going to the support group to appease his family and wasn't interested in talking to anyone there at all, but after a while he grew to like the two older people, even agreeing to go out to dinner with them every so often after a meeting, sometimes before. It was at these dinners that he got to know them better.

"So, Jungkook, what do you do?" Jisoo asked, starting off light so as not to scare away the newest regular member of their support group, especially since she felt he was finally about to open up due to having accepted her and Seungcheol's invitation.
