Hoseok stepped into the classroom and was immediately greeted by his daughter. "Daddy!" Emma exclaimed, running to him. He crouched down and opened his arms just in time for her to crash into him for a hug. "Look at my battle scar!" The four-year-old pulled away to show him her bandaged-up knee.

"I see it, how did you get it?" Hoseok asked, keeping the panic he always felt whenever his little girl got hurt on the inside and staying calm on the outside.

"I fell down." She answered simply as the teacher came up with an accident report for Hoseok to sign.

"I wasn't on the playground when it happened because I was on break, but Sophia was there so you can ask her if you want any more questions or details." Rifka, the part timer that covered for Emma's teacher on Wednesday afternoons when she had to leave early for some undisclosed reason, explained. "But basically, she fell down on the bike track outside and scraped her knee."

Hoseok quickly signed the report before squeezing Emma to his chest. "Oh no, my little baby~" He cooed to her while she laughed, squirming out of his grip.

"I only cried a little bit, Daddy!" Emma exclaimed.

"It would have been okay to cry a lot too. I cry a lot when I get hurt." Hoseok said, making an exaggerated crying face to bring more laughter out of his daughter. "Is Aunt Sophia the one who told you it was a battle scar?" Emma nodded happily. "Good for her, now let's go let Mommy look at it to see if it needs anymore magic doctor powers." Hoseok bid Rifka goodbye while Emma cheered over getting to see her mommy so early, as Gabriella was always home early on Wednesdays.

After helping Emma out of the car, he led her through the door in the garage, running straight into Gabriella as she came out of the laundry room with a basket of freshly cleaned and folded clothes. "Mommy!" The four-year-old exclaimed, wrapping herself around her mom's leg in a hug. "I got a boo boo you need to look at!"

"You did?!" Gabriella asked before greeting Hoseok with a quick kiss, the family of three then making their way to the master bedroom with Emma staying attached to her mother.

"She fell down when they were playing outside." Hoseok explained as Gabriella set the basket down on the bed, already reaching in to grab some clothes to put away.

Gabriella immediately stopped him. "Save that for later, you promised that when you got home, we could finally sit down and fill out all of those forms your dad gave us last week." As the official school year was about to start, Jin had the teachers hand out all of the standard data forms, checklists, and parent screening forms that were given to parents annually."
