After finally getting all of the preschoolers on their cots for naptime, Jin gathered up his things and signed out for the day. He drove as fast as he could without breaking any laws to meet Namjoon back at their house as planned. He had just tumbled out of the driver's seat, ready to run inside and grab his luggage when Namjoon calmly walked out, Jin's suitcase in hand. "Oh my god, you are a lifesaver!" Jin greeted his husband with a kiss before taking the suitcase from him and rushing to put it in the trunk.

"What would you do without me?" Namjoon teased before climbing into the driver's seat so that they would be ready to leave as soon as Jin was back in the van.

Jin practically dove into the passenger's seat and put his seatbelt on before signaling for Namjoon to back out of the driveway. "Probably miss my flight, now hurry up. I don't want the boys thinking we lied to them."

It was time for NAEYC's annual conference, and Jin was finally lucky enough to get to go. The only problem was that he would be gone for nearly a week, and the boys weren't looking too forward to that. To keep them from being overly pouty in the days leading up to Jin's departure, the married couple had promised their five sons that they would check them out of school on their way to Little Rock so that they could give him plenty of goodbye hugs and kisses, hence why they were now rushing to get them.

"Get Yoongi first," Jin told Namjoon as soon as they were on the road. Jin had memorized each of the boys' school schedules (which was not an easy feat) and knew where each of the boys were at that exact moment. Jungkook was having a shared reading session with his kindergarten teacher, Jimin and Taehyung were at recess, Hoseok was working on math independently, and Yoongi was in study hall, making the oldest boy the best option for picking up first.

Namjoon nodded and turned to head towards the middle school Yoongi went to. After picking up the 10-year-old, they went to the elementary school to pick up the other four before heading on their way to Little Rock. Thanks to the time of day, the traffic wasn't too bad on the way to the capital, so they managed to get to the airport a little before 1:30, about an hour before Jin's flight was scheduled to take off.

The 27-year-old quickly checked in and the family of seven made their way to the small waiting area by the escalator that would soon take Jin up to security. "Okay," Jin set his suitcase down and turned to look at his sons. He threw his arms open as he said, "I need my hugs."

All five boys rushed to their father, nearly knocking him over as they all threw their arms around him as best as they could while Namjoon watched on fondly. Jin made sure to kiss each boy on top of his head during the kiss, and eventually they all pulled away one by one until Yoongi was the only one left hugging. "Promise you'll call every day." The ten-year-old said quietly, nuzzling his head against his dad's chest.

"I promise to call you twice a day." Jin assured him. "Every morning before you go to school and every evening before you go to bed."

"Good~" Yoongi muttered, squeezing Jin one last time before stepping back.

Namjoon immediately stepped forward, quietly stating 'my turn' as he wrapped his arms around Jin. "Be safe~" Namjoon murmured into Jin's neck as he held the older male tightly to him.

"I will~"

"Call me as soon as you land."

"I will~"

"If you don't, I'm going to start thinking the worst-"

"Hey," Jin pulled back slightly so that he could see Namjoon's face. "I'll be fine, and I won't forget to call you." He gave his husband a small smile before gently pressing their lips together. When Jin pulled away, the next thing he said was obviously meant to lighten the mood slightly, which Namjoon was thankful for. "Don't feed the boys nothing but fast food this week."

"I won't." Namjoon assured him, pulling him a little bit closer. "There will be some TV dinners thrown in there too."

Jin rolled his eyes as Namjoon pulled him in for one more kiss. "Alright, I should probably head up to security now." Jin said, stepping out of Namjoon's embrace. He gave each of the boys one more hug, and gave Namjoon one last kiss, before taking his suitcase and heading to the escalator.

He made sure to stay facing his family as he went up, waving his hand until he could no longer see them. The boys did the same, waving excessively until their dad disappeared from sight. Once Jin was gone, Namjoon turned to them with a bright smile. "Time for the fun to begin!" The boys cheered and laughed in response, although the underlying sadness over Jin leaving for a week was apparent. "Let's head back home so we can get our homework done before Jimin's ballet class. And then after his class, we'll all go to Purple Cow!" The five boys let out even more excited cheers as they left the airport to head back to Conway.

Jin's first call came when Namjoon was sitting at the table with the boys helping them with their homework. Jin had just landed in Atlanta and had to wait an hour for his connecting flight to DC and planned on spending as much of the waiting time as possible facetiming with his family. As the boys were still doing their homework, the simple chatting quickly morphed into offering homework assistance through the phone. By the time they had to hang up so they could get ready to go to Jimin's ballet class, Yoongi had finished his persuasive writing worksheet, Hoseok had completed his cause and effect mystery story, Jimin had finished his math worksheet and had helped Taehyung get halfway through his, and Jungkook had drawn a picture of his version of the Three Little Pigs.

His second call came after Jimin's dance class when the family was at Purple Cow for dinner. Yoongi's hot dog, Hoseok's Elvis special, the twins' burgers, Jungkook's PB&J, and Namjoon's chicken sandwich had all just come out when Jin wanted to facetime again after arriving at his hotel for just a few minutes before he went to get himself dinner.

His third call came later that night after Namjoon got the boys to bed. "Are you going to be able to handle tomorrow morning?" Jin asked his husband as they both lay in their respective beds, knowing how hard it was to get all five boys up and around even with the two of them working together.

"I think I can manage." Namjoon told him, noticing how tired Jin looked after his afternoon of traveling. "You should get to sleep. Don't you have to be up early?"

Jin nodded sleepily. "Yeah, the shuttle bus leaves at 8:00 for the convention center." Jin rubbed his eyes lightly as he continued. "I have an inclusion workshop at 8:30 and it lasts nearly all day."

Namjoon chuckled lightly at the small pout that formed on his husband's face at that statement. "Well I'll let you get to sleep then. I wouldn't want you falling asleep tomorrow." Jin nodded and mumbled an 'okay'. "Have fun~" Namjoon punctuated his statement by blowing a kiss to the phone screen, which Jin gladly returned shortly before ending the facetime call.
