"I just can't get over how beautiful it is." Rosie was currently curled up on a chair out on Jimin's tiny balcony, looking up as Jimin stepped through the door with two mugs of coffee. "You have really good taste."
Jimin smiled at her as he handed her one of the cups. "I'm glad you approve~" He set his own cup down so his hands would be free to maneuver Rose so they could sit in the chair together, seeing as he'd been in an even more cuddly mood since the previous night. He had just picked his cup back up and was barely settled in when Rosie began to attack his cheek and jaw with kisses, also having been in a more loving mood since the previous night. "You're gonna knock my glasses off!" Jimin playfully pushes her off so he could straighten out his eyewear, leaning in to press his lips to hers as soon as his glasses were back in their rightful spot.
Jimin pulled away after just a few seconds, but Rosie continued to press short, tiny kisses to his lips, giggling as she did so. When she did finally pull away, she pulled the sleeves of Jimin's hoodie that she was wearing over her hands. "I know you said to wait a couple of days before telling anyone, but we are going to be seeing your family today unless you're planning on skipping Sunday lunch."
Jimin shrugged, gently running his fingers over Rosie's leg that was resting on his lap. "That was more of a suggestion, we can tell them today as long as you're prepared to deal with my dad's antics."
Rosie giggled, "I think I can handle it." She pressed her lips to his once more before standing up from the chair. "I'm gonna go call my parents to tell them. Hopefully I'll catch them before they go to bed."
She returned a couple of minutes later, informing Jimin that her parents must have already been asleep and that she would try again later, and sat down on Jimin's lap. The two of them took their sweet time finishing their coffee amongst cuddles and more kisses before finally dragging themselves to get ready for lunch with Jimin's family.
They entered the house hand in hand and, as they were the last to arrive, greeted everyone cheerfully with hugs. To their surprise, it took a while for anyone to notice Rosie's new accessory. It was when Jin had gone back into the kitchen to finish up the chicken for lunch when Gabriella suddenly grabbed Rosie's hand. "Please tell me this is what I think it is!" Rosie's cheeks flushed pink as she nodded, Gabriella squealing quietly. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two!"
Jimin and Rosie opened their mouths to thank her but were cut off by Jin suddenly rushing into the room. "Congratulations? What happened?" His eyes zeroed in on Rosie's engagement ring and immediately understand. "Aww, you finally proposed to her? I've been wondering when you were going to finally ask her!"
Jimin and Rosie shared a look of confusion at Jin's nontypically calm reaction. "Are you okay, Dad?" Jimin asked him. "Normally you'd be literally bouncing off the walls right now."
"Yeah, but I thought about it, and I'm sure that if I were to act crazy, then you wouldn't let me plan your engagement party or wedding shower or anything!" Jin turned to go back to the kitchen.
Rosie gave Jimin a slightly worried look, and he was quick to assure her that he would talk to him. Jimin followed his dad into the kitchen. "Dad, you can't plan our engagement party or anything pertaining to our wedding."
Jin looked up from the sauce he was mixing to give Jimin a heartbroken look. "But it's tradition for me to throw the engagement parties and wedding showers!"
"I know, Dad, but..." Jimin sighed a bit before continuing. "Rosie's mom apparently completely took control when her sister was engaged, and Rosie told me back when we first talked about the possibility of getting married that she never wanted that to happen to her. So, she kind of wants all of the planning to be limited to the two of us." Jin was obviously still a bit sad over that, so Jimin added on. "You can still host our engagement party though. Maybe we can work out a deal with Rosie where we pick out the theme and decorations and stuff, and then you can 'throw' the party."
