The last few months of Jimin and Rosie's engagement went fairly smooth. As the couple had wanted to go ahead and get everything booked and ready as early as possible, they only had to worry about a couple of touch ups and make sure things were still prepared as planned as their wedding day approached.
When the day finally arrived, Jimin found himself staring nervously into the mirror just a mere half an hour before he was supposed to have his first look at Rosie, along with their wedding party pictures as neither of them wanted to make their guests have to wait for up to an hour or more for their pictures to be done before they could eat. "How's the groom doing?" Jimin turned to see Namjoon had entered the room, a smile on his face.
"Not so good." Jimin answered honestly. "What if she decides she doesn't actually want me?"
"Trust me when I say that she does." Namjoon said with a chuckle.
Jimin sighed. "But what if it doesn't work out. I always fuck things up in relationships. What if I ruin everything and she leaves me?"
"I've seen the way you two are with each other." Namjoon said. "It would take something horrible to completely break what you two have."
"Something horrible that I've already done in the past." Jimin mumbled.
"And that you won't do again." Namjoon said. "You're a good man, Jimin. Rosie fell for you because you are who you are. Just continue being you and everything will be fine." Jimin nodded but it was obvious he didn't fully believe his father. "Did you know your father used to think he wasn't good enough to take care of you guys?" Jimin's eyes widened as he'd never been told that before. "It was long before you came along, back when it was just your dad, Yoongi, and Hoseok. Just after what happened to Hobi, when I met them at the hospital, your dad tried to convince me to put them in a different house because he was sure he had failed them and wasn't good enough to care for them. Now you and I both know just how untrue that is."
A small smile appeared on Jimin's face. "And you're now telling me this to show me how untrue it is that I'll end up messing everything up between me and Rosie."
"Exactly!" Namjoon exclaimed, wrapping his arm around Jimin's shoulders in a side hug. "It's your wedding day, you should be excited, not on the verge of a panic attack."
"I'll try my best." Jimin joked, letting out a laugh as he hugged Namjoon back.
Half an hour later, Jimin was standing outside the venue, back turned and eyes closed as Rosie prepared to show him her dress for the first time. "Are you ready?"
"Probably not." Jimin called back, feeling butterflies in his stomach when he heard Rosie giggle. The 26-year-old then told him it was okay to turn around, and Jimin felt all the air get sucked out of him when he saw his soon to be wife in her wedding dress. "How did I get so lucky?" He whispered as he approached her, the clicking of the camera as the photographer took pictures of the moment fading to the background as all he could see was the most beautiful woman in the world.
"I'm pretty sure I'm the lucky one." Rosie countered, taking Jimin's hands in hers.
After letting them have their moment, the two families and the wedding party then took their pictures, Jimin having to force a polite smile when it came time to stand with Rosie's parents for some pictures.
A couple of hours later, the two were standing at the altar in front of their family and friends as they recited their vows, having decided to go the traditional route due to Rosie's value in her religion. "I, Jimin, take Roseanne to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part." The priest then turned to Rosie and had her recite the same words.
"You may now kiss the bride." Jimin wasted no time encasing Rosie's face in his hands and pulling her towards him so their lips could meet in their first kiss as a married couple.
