"This is so good! I think it would be cool if you wrote about their first Christmas celebration together or maybe the last one before Yoongi moves out... just a suggestion! :)"Notes:
This part is their first Christmas after Namjin got married and the next part will be the last Christmas before Yoongi moved out.Ages of the Characters:
Jin - 26
Namjoon - 25
Yoongi - 8
Hoseok - 7
Jimin - 6
Taehyung - 5
Jungkook - 4The flu had finally dispersed from the Kim household and all seven members were feeling much better, save for some leftover sluggishness in Jin and Jungkook as they were the final victims of the virus. While most of the family was happy to be healthy again in time for Christmas, there was one particular individual who was not holding back from sharing his despair. "We missed out on nearly two weeks' worth of activities, Joon!" Jin exclaimed as they were driving back home from David's Burgers. They had opted out of going to church that morning, since Jin and Jungkook were both recovering from their illness but had still met up with Jin's mother for lunch as they did every Sunday with the exception of the past couple of Sundays when they had all been sick. "I've had everything planned out for months and it was all for nothing!"
Namjoon reached over to take Jin's hand in his without removing his gaze from the road before him. "It'll be okay, we still have a week until Christmas, so we can do plenty with the boys." Namjoon assured his husband.
Jin sighed deeply, his head falling back against the headrest as he looked over at Namjoon. "It's our first Christmas as a family and I wanted it to be perfect."
Namjoon brought Jin's hand up to his mouth and pressed a few kisses to the back of it. "It'll still be perfect, trust me."
Jin smiled softly at the man before looking back into the van where the five boys were loudly playing games or just simply conversing with each other. "I hope so. Now hurry up and get home so we can decorate the house."
19th
Jungkook still needed his afternoon nap, so as soon as they got home, the boys were sent off to their rooms for feet off the floor time. Once Jungkook woke up, the decorating began. Jin was busy stringing lights around the tree while the twins looked through the decorations box, giggling at the different ornaments they found. After Jin finished the lights and plugged them in to make sure they were still working, Namjoon called for him. He looked over and saw Namjoon standing in the doorway between the kitchen and living room, a smirk on his face. "What's gotten into you?" Jin said while laughing slightly, somewhat confused until Namjoon pointed up, causing his gaze to land on the decoration dangling above his husband's head. Jin smiled before walking towards Namjoon, a bounce in his step. "If you wanted to kiss me, all you had to do was ask~" Jin teased, wrapping his arms around Namjoon and leaning in to press a soft, delicate kiss to his lips that only lasted a couple of seconds. "Now, come here and help." He took Namjoon's hand and tugged him towards the tree, where Hoseok and Yoongi had already started to hang ornaments up, starting with their handmade ones from when they were in preschool.
When they were done, Jin turned to the boys. "Okay, who wants to put the star on top of the tree this year?"
As all the boys started to chant 'me', Namjoon spoke up. "Actually, there's one more ornament for us to put on the tree." Jin looked at him in confusion as he ran out of the room, reappearing a couple of minutes later with a small box in hand. "One of my coworkers makes and sells ornaments on the side and I asked her to make this one. I picked it up yesterday when I took the boys out to buy a gift for you." The boys had been adamant about getting a gift for their dads that year, so while Jin and Jungkook stayed in to get over the last bit of the flu, Namjoon had taken the older four shopping.
