Jungkook stood in the middle of their backyard, tugging at his blue swim trunks as he watched Namjoon finish blowing up the small, inflatable pool. "Kookie, you wanna help me fill it up with water?" Namjoon asked as he walked over to the hose.

"Yeah!" The four-year-old jumped in excitement as he waited for his dad to come back with the hose.

Namjoon helped Jungkook wrap his hands around the hose and positioned him to hold it over the small pool. "Here you go, Kookie, hold it right there~" Once he was sure the preschooler wouldn't move, he went back to turn the water on.

Jungkook squealed and giggled once the water started to come out of the end of the hose. "Water's coming out, Daddy!"

"It is! Hold it still so that the ground won't get muddy." Jungkook happily confirmed that he would as the back door to the house opened, and Jin's mother stepped outside. "Hey, Elizabeth~" Namjoon greeted the woman and welcomed her with a hug. "I didn't realize you would be here so early."

Elizabeth returned the hug before pulling away. "Jin asked me to come early and grill the burgers and hot dogs. Something about not trusting you around the grill."

"Yeah, that's probably smart of him." Namjoon chuckled as shrieks of laughter traveled across the yard from Jungkook. The two adults looked over to see that he was now moving the hose around so that the water would splash as he filled the pool up.

"Oh, Jin asked for me to send you inside. I'll stay out here with Kookie." Namjoon nodded and moved to enter the house as Jin's mother called out the four-year old's name.

"Nana!" Jungkook dropped the hose into the pool and ran over to his grandmother, throwing himself into her arms. "I'm gonna go swimming!" He announced as soon as she had picked him up.

Namjoon entered through the back door in the kitchen to see the twins sitting at the table filling up clear, plastic cups with various fruits, although most of the fruit was going into their mouths. Jin was sitting at the table with them, stirring chocolate chips into something pink. "Whatcha makin'?" Namjoon asked as he moved to stand behind Jin, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.

"I'm attempting to make a sherbet cake that looks like a watermelon." Jin answered as he started to spoon his raspberry sherbet and chocolate chip mixture into the frozen lime sherbet shell he had just pulled from the freezer. "Hopefully it'll look somewhat decent."

"Everything you make looks amazing." Namjoon praised him, which earned an eyeroll from Jin. "What'd you need me for?"

"Can you help clean the fruit juice off the twins and get them in their swim trunks?" Jin asked as he stood from the table to go grab the packet of lady fingers he had bought at the store when preparing for the Labor Day party.
