Jungkook - 14 monthsJana was getting the class ready for their Dance & Movement group time when Seokjin went to pick up Taehyung and Jungkook from their classrooms so they could go get Yoongi from school. When he reached the gate that separated the infants from the preschoolers, Jungkook was already standing there, waiting on him with a huge smile on his face...and a huge bruise on his forehead. "Oh, Kookie, what did you get yourself into?" Seokjin asked him as he picked him up, Harper walking over with Jungkook's bag, daily sheet, and an accident report to explain the bruise on his head.
"Okay, so I know it doesn't seem like it, but there's actually a really cute story behind the bruise." She explained before diving into the story.
"Kookie!" Taehyung waddled over to the short fence that separated the toddlers and infants on the playground. "Hi!" He greeted, pressing up against the wood as Jungkook pulled himself up to stand on the other side, babbling at his big brother.
They stood at the fence across from each other for a good ten minutes, just having their own little conversation that no one else could understand. Then Taehyung lifted up the toy in his hand. "'ook at car, Kookie!" He exclaimed, holding it over the fence for Jungkook to see. "Me good boy!" He said to explain how he earned the toy car for being so good in class.
Jungkook tilted his head back to look at the car just as it slipped from Taehyung's fingers, hitting the 14-month-old right in the middle of his forehead. Taehyung's eyes widened as Jungkook's face scrunched up, a few whimpers leaving him. "Sorry, Kookie!" He yelled, going on his tiptoes to reach over the fence so he could pull Jungkook into some semblance of a hug as his little brother began to cry. "So sorry!"
Taehyung pulled Jungkook towards the fence a bit too roughly during the attempted hug, accidentally making the 14-month-old hit his head on the wood. "So sorry!" He cried, repeating the phrase multiple times as Jungkook cried harder. Taehyung started to tear up as he didn't know how to make his brother happy besides saying sorry. He soon began to cry in frustration, making both of their teachers run over to console them.
"Tae Tae loves his little Kookie." Seokjin hummed after hearing the story, looking at Jungkook's bruise one more time and gently running his thumb over it. "Don't worry, you'll be good as new in a few days." He assured him before moving to the toddler room to get Taehyung.
