Seokjin groaned and flopped face first onto the couch the second he arrived home from work. "Rough day?" Namjoon asked as he came to sit next to his husband, rubbing his back comfortingly today.

"I had to fire somebody today." Seokjin explained. "The one thing I don't like about my job." He lifted up his head to see that rather than already being in his pajamas as Namjoon often was on the days he got home from work first, the younger male was wearing a dress shirt and had obviously styled his hair. "Okay, hold on..." Seokjin sat up, Namjoon smiling at him in amusement as he started counting off important days on his fingers. "Not our anniversary...not the day we met...not a birthday...Valentine's Day isn't until this weekend...nope, got nothing."

Namjoon chuckled. "I was hoping to surprise you with a date tonight. And sounds like you definitely deserve one tonight."

Seokjin smiled at his husband and leaned in to give him a grateful kiss. "You're so thoughtful." He sighed and fell back on the couch. "But I don't know if I'm up to going out somewhere nice and being around people. I just want to spend time with you."

"That's fine." Namjoon agreed, moving to lay on top of Seokjin, just cuddling him in silence for a few seconds. "Remember when the boys were young, and we wanted to have an impromptu date night but couldn't get a sitter in time?" Seokjin hummed. "How we would take the boys to the store with us and split them up and do that TikTok date thing and then our date would be sharing what we got with each other after the boys were asleep."

Seokjin's eyes widened as he turned to look at Namjoon. "We should totally do that again tonight. It's been so long since our last Target date!"

Within an hour, they had made their purchases privately and were sitting on their bed across from each other, wearing the matching pajamas Seokjin had gotten them for Christmas. "Okay first: favorite snack." Seokjin pulled out the box of Rice Krispie Treats he'd purchased while Namjoon pulled out a bag of Xtreme Cheddar Goldfish. "And you got me the family size!" Seokjin gushed, leaning in to kiss Namjoon.

"Family size is a single serving to you." Namjoon teased him. "Okay, favorite drink." For that, Seokjin had gotten Namjoon a four pack of Starbucks' Vanilla Frappuccino while Namjoon had gotten him some chocolate milk.

For favorite color, Seokjin purchased a black tank top while Namjoon purchased a pink pillow, that Seokjin was happy to hug for the rest of their sharing session. They were on the same wavelength for 'something they need' as they both purchased condoms. For 'something they want the other to try', Seokjin purchased a bag of frozen shrimp--Namjoon had immediately scrunched his nose in disgust but promised to try at least one whenever Seokjin cooked them--while Namjoon picked strawberry flavored lube--Seokjin fell into a fit of laughter that made it hard to finish up.

Last on the list was something that reminded them of the other. Namjoon held out the desk organizer he purchased. "You've been complaining about how disorganized your last director left the office and how stressed out you've been with the clutter."

"Aww," Seokjin pouted. "And all I got you was a stuffed koala because you think they're cute." Namjoon's eyes widened, and he lunged for Seokjin's shopping bag to retrieve his gift. "You better not be planning on cuddling that more than me."

"Of course not." Namjoon promised him, gently kissing him. "He'll lay in between us after we get all this stuff put up."

"Of course, he will." Seokjin sighed in faux exasperation before kissing Namjoon briefly, climbing off the bed so they could begin cleaning up their purchases.
