Jimin walked out of the fieldhouse after dance practice, quickly scanning the parking lot to find his dad's car, as the humidity was making him feel grosser than he already felt from the sweat dripping down his skin. He finally spotted the familiar minivan and made a beeline towards it, opening the backdoor and tossing his school and dance bag inside before climbing in too. As soon as he was inside the vehicle, he quickly leaned in a pressed his lips to the cheek of the girl already occupying the seat next to his. "Okay, you are sweaty and need to back away!" Jennie teased him but complied when he leaned back in for their lips to meet for a couple of seconds.

"Yes, such a sweet reunion~" Jin chimed in from where he sat in the driver's seat. "It must have been such a hard five hours for the two of you."

"It was the worst!" Jimin exclaimed dramatically as he played along with his dad, smiling as Jennie began to giggle. "I don't know how I survived during practice." He continued as he buckled his seatbelt in, immediately reaching out to hold Jennie's hand as Jin pulled out of the parking lot to go home. "So, are we taking Jennie home now?" Jimin asked, pouting slightly at the thought of already having to part from his girlfriend.

Jin shook his head. "Your dad was supposed to after dinner, but he got called away to a case in Damascus." Jin explained.

"And my foster parents decided to go see a movie tonight so they're gonna pick me up after they get out." Jennie finished, lightly squeezing Jimin's hand. "Which means I can now get my amazingly smart boyfriend to help me with my chemistry homework."

Jimin chuckled quietly. "I'm pretty sure you mean now you can copy off of your amazingly smart boyfriend's homework." He teased her as he started to lightly stroke his thumb across the back of her hand.

Jennie shrugged it off. "It'll be a collaborative effort." She insisted before laughing again.

After they got home, Jimin took a quick shower and heated up the plate of food Jin had left in the microwave for him before taking it to his room so he and Jennie could work on their chemistry worksheet. Contrary to what some people might believe, the young couple actually did do their homework rather than participating in other, couple-y activities, partially because Taehyung was sitting on his bed across the room watching Death Note on his laptop.

When Jimin and Jennie had finished about half of their worksheet, Jungkook appeared in the doorway of the twins' room clutching his pre-algebra textbook and a notebook. "Tae, can you help me with homework?" Jimin had been the eighth grader's first choice, but after seeing Jennie sitting on his older brother's bed, he opted to ask Taehyung instead.

Taehyung made a groaned loudly as he paused his show, but everyone in the room knew he was just doing it for show as he was more than happy to help his baby brother with his math. "What are we working on today?"

"Multiplication and division~" The sound of Jungkook explaining to Taehyung what they were studying in class that week faded away as the two of them walked across the hall to Jungkook's room, leaving Jimin and Jennie alone.

As Jimin began to read off the next question on their homework, Jennie's gaze fell on Jimin's nearly untouched dinner plate. "Why aren't you eating?" She asked softly, and Jimin went quiet as he glanced at his dinner, choosing not to answer her. "Are you having problems again?" Jennie's voice was barely louder than a whisper as she spoke.

Jimin shrugged, shaking his head slightly as he finally responded. "Not completely, but football season is always hard for me." Jennie subconsciously reached out to take his hand as he explained. "Between all the people that doubt if I should really be on the team and the harassment from parents who think I'm only there to take advantage of their daughters, and now with Izzy giving me a hard time," Hoseok's ex-girlfriend was the captain of the dance team that year, and it was no secret that she was taking out the remaining negative feelings from their breakup on Jimin by pushing him harder than the other dancers, "there's just a lot of pressure to prove myself and be the best I can be."

A small pout appeared on Jennie's face as she heard her boyfriend's struggles. "Well, if you ask me, you're one of the best dancers on the team, so you've definitely proven yourself."

The corners of Jimin's lips quirked at Jennie's statement. "You haven't even seen the rest of the team yet-"

Jennie ignored Jimin as she continued. "And you can't be your best if you're not healthy."

Jimin nodded slightly as he looked down at his lap. "I know~"

After a beat of silence, Jennie clapped, causing Jimin to look back up. "And that is why I'm here to constantly remind you of how perfect you are." Jimin couldn't help but smile as the girl grabbed his dinner plate and scooped up a forkful of chicken and pasta, holding the fork up to his mouth. "Now eat~"

Jimin held back a laugh as he opened his mouth the accept the food. After feeding him a few more bites, Jennie finally set the plate off to the side, so they could go back to their homework. "Thank you~" Jennie just smiled at Jimin in response, and the 15-year-old boy suddenly had the urge to utter three little words. Before he could overthink it and chicken out, he was blurting out the all-important phrase. "I love you."

Jennie looked up in shock, not having expected the sudden confession. Instead of giving her a chance to respond, Jimin leaned forward to close the distance between them, pouring his feelings into the way he molded his lips to hers. It didn't take long for the kiss to progress, their homework getting pushed to the side as Jennie moved to climb into Jimin's lap. Jimin's hands came up to caress her hips as he leaned back against his headboard. The two of them nearly forgot where they were until a knock on the door pulled the two of them away from their little bubble.

"I'm sorry to interrupt~" Jin said as the two teens jumped away from each other, making sure to put plenty of distance between themselves. "Jennie, your foster parents are here."

"Oh, okay, thanks~" Jennie rushed out, hers and Jimin's cheeks bright red after having been caught by Jin. The girl quickly packed up her school things with Jimin's help and rushed out of the room with a quick goodbye.

Jin leaned against the doorway after she left while Jimin attempted to busy himself with his homework, avoiding eye contact with his dad. "You know, if you would like a refresher course of our talk-"

"Dad~"

"I'm just saying!" Jin defended himself. "Your dad and I are planning on giving Jungkook the talk this weekend and you're more than welcome to sit in too, especially since that means some rules are going to be lifted-"

"Dad!" Jimin finally looked up and glared at Jin, who just chuckled in response, holding his arms up in surrender as he left the room.
