When I woke up the next morning, I felt such euphoria swell up in my heart as I opened my eyes to find I was in Remington's arms while he was still asleep. I smiled as I carefully placed a gentle kiss on his chest as I tried not to wake him, but I couldn't help myself. I looked at him as he was resting peacefully, his arms around me to keep me close to him. God, I never thought I would feel this way after being separated for only almost three months. I tried being understanding as he spent his days working on and recording music, but I wasn't aware I would miss him this much. Though, I'm pretty sure after yesterday, he was the one who missed me more as he kept praising me and never wanted to leave my side. I was almost overwhelmed by how he didn't hold back his undying affection for me and left me grateful for his existence.

After a couple more minutes, Remington started to stir in his sleep and slowly began to wake up as he rubbed his eyes and yawned so adorably. Once his eyes landed on mine, an immediate smile greeted his face and he placed a soft kiss on my forehead to greet me. "Good morning, ma chérie", he said in a quiet and sleepy tone, I'm not sure why but it was so attractive to me, "I haven't slept so well in so long and last night felt like heaven with you close to me." I giggled and blushed at his compliment and then told him, "I could say the same thing. I always feel so safe when I'm with you." He grinned before leaning in to kiss me slowly and softly, his kisses were so nice to feel in the morning. I continued kissing him until we heard someone knocking on the door and it startled the both of us. "Come on, Rem, you slept in today!", I could hear Sebastain voice booming through the door as he continued to pound on the door, "I know Carina's in there with you, but you know we still have work to do!" Rem finally shouted through the door, "Okay, Seb, shut the fuck up already and go away!" It was silent after that.

Even though he didn't want to, Remington prepared to have us leave the room so he could head to the studio with his brothers and bandmates. Before we left the hotel, he handed me an extra key to his room in case I wanted to stay there while he was working so I wouldn't have to wait at the studio. I took it politely, but told him I wouldn't have a problem waiting. He flashed a grin at me as we were finally approaching the studio. The receptionist greeted us politely and began to have them sign in for their session. I needed to use the restroom quickly so I did so and when I came back out, I was met with a sight I never would have expected, but should have in Los Angeles. My eyes were widened as I watched a blonde and skimpy woman much too close to Remington and looking at him like he was a meal. Seeing something like that made a fire grow inside of me, but this fire felt negative. The fire soon went away as Rem pushed her off of him and glanced back at me as his smile warmed my heart in a good way.

I walked closer to him and he didn't waste any time as he pressed his lips onto mine and held my face so affectionately. I happily kissed back and when he pulled away, he held me close to him in his arm as he also held my hand and looked at the woman he pushed away. "Vera", he introduced her to me, "This is my sweet and beautiful girlfriend, Carina Wisteria. The only one I want for myself and am blessed to have in my life." He then turned to me, "Carina, this is Vera Artemesia, girlfriend to the lead singer of Dante's Inferno. Pretty cool, huh?" I raised my brows and then turned to her as he began to look annoyed at us, "Is that so? Wow, I love that band! Holden must be an amazing guy to be dating." She nodded rather irritatingly and then said to me and Rem, "Well, then. It's nice to finally meet the girl Remington won't stop talking about. You don't look like his type, but I guess opposites attract. I do hope nothing gets in the way of your relationship."

After that, she walked out of the studio and stormed off. Remington looked relieved and told me, "Thank God, she wouldn't leave me alone and it was getting annoying refusing her advances toward me." I see now, she was trying to flirt with Remington, but she made a mistake going after a faithful boy like him. I smiled as I told him, "Not everyone will understand until it's right in their faces." He chuckled and then gave me a kiss goodbye before he went inside the studio to join his band. The receptionist called out to me quietly and then beckoned me closer to tell me something, "That woman, Vera Artemesia, she's bad news and she shouldn't be trusted." I asked her, "What do you mean?" She explained, "I've worked here for a while but I've seen her come in with almost every front man of every band that works for this record label. She's been known to hook up with them and then leave them for the next one. I particularly don't respect her for having no shame, but now it's much worse as she trying to take Remington for herself."

I was shocked to hear such a vile person wouldn't know how to stop when she should. The receptionist continued, "Your boyfriend seems like a very faithful boy and must love you very much, but don't trust Vera. She'll probably be waiting for the opportunity to break the two of you up and have him for herself. You probably have nothing to worry about, but I just don't want to see you get hurt." Wow, I thought Jennifer was horrible, but it seems I'll always have some crazy chick trying to take Remington like a prize when she doesn't really care about him the way I do. I nodded and thanked her, happy to know she respected my relationship with Remington to warn me of someone who could try to break us up. She smiled and then introduced herself as Sadie, making me smile to have a friend here in L.A. who actually has some heart compared to others I know who wouldn't care.
