Part - Vampire at Hogwarts

Ron's Poisoned

Riana's POV

It has been four weeks since the first apparition lesson. I have had three private lessons since then. They are going well. My instructor says I will be ready for my test at the end of the twelve training period. The others lessons aren't going as well, but they are improving.

My first attempt at wand making failed, I had damaged the unicorn hair as I tried to combine it with the pine wood. I had to do an essay on what went wrong and how I could stop it from happening next time. Which will be soon.

Our Hogsmeade visit was cancelled due to the weather and more disappearances. Ron was not happy, as it was his seventeenth birthday today, and he had been looking forward to going to Hogsmeade. At least Ron got his presents. I wonder if he liked the new Quidditch robes I had gotten him with Ginny?

I guess I will find out soon. It is breakfast time, after all. I am in the great hall with Hermione and Ginny. As well as Aussie, I am feeding him some berries. We hadn't hung out in a while, and I think he missed me. "Do you use him to send letters?" Ginny asks me.

"Not always, but sometimes. He is mostly just a companion, " I tell her. "Like Arnold is to you," I add. She smiles as she pats her pygmypuff. "By the way, we never did exchange Christmas break stories," I state.

"Why don't you go first?" Ginny tells me, and I do so. Telling them about the two balls, but not going into details. About how lonely it was without my grandfather around. How much I missed him. "He will come back," she assures me, and I give her a grateful smile.

"Enough about me, what about you two?" I ask her and Hermione. Before either one can answer, Professor McGonagall appears. Asking us to follow her. We do so, and she leads us to the hospital wing. Where we find Harry, Ron, Professor Slughorn, Madame Pomfrey, and Dumbledore. Ron had been poisoned by something while he shared a drink with Harry and Professor Slughorn in his office. Harry saved his life by giving Ron a bezoar, but Ron is still unconscious.

Fred and George even visited Ron. They had been in Hogsmeade planning to surprise Ron. Harry told them what happened to Ron. He would have to be here for a week, according to Madame Pomfrey, before he fully recovered from being poisoned. Which means he would miss the next Quidditch match. I wonder who Harry will get to play keeper?

The twins asked if their parents had been. They had and are currently with Dumbledore. Tge twins soon leave as I start to wonder why Lavender isn't here? Speak of the devil, she runs into the hospital wing. "Where is he? Where's my Won-Won? Has he been asking for me?" She asks. "What is she doing here?" She demands looking at Hermione.

"I might ask you the same question," Hermione retorts.

"I happen to be his girlfriend," Lavender snaps.

"Well, I happen to be his... friend, " Hermione states.

"Friend? Don't make me laugh! You haven't spoken in weeks. I guess you want to make up with him now that's he's suddenly all interesting. " Lavender sneers.

"He's been poisoned, you daft dimbo! And as a matter of fact, I've always found him interesting" Hermione snaps. Just then, Ron begins to stir in his sleep.

"Ah! See? He senses my presence, " Lavender says happily. "Don't worry, Won-Won! I'm here. I'm here, " she assures him as he mumbles something. We all go quiet to listen.

"Her... my... nee. Hermione, " he says. Lavender runs from the room sobbing as Hermione takes his hand. Harry, Ginny, and I smile at the pair.

"Oh shut up," Hermione tells us, blushing lightly.

"We said nothing," I tell her. "We will give you two some alone time," I say teasingly. Before leaving with Harry and Ginny. We return to the common room where Harry is cornered by Cormac. Ginny and I leave him alone with Cormac. "Want to continue our conversation? " I ask Ginny.

"Sure, as long as we do homework," she states. We summoned our books and got to work. As she told me about her Christmas break.
