Deatheaters Infiltrate Hogwarts

Riana's POV

Turns out I was wrong about no one else dating. Harry and Ginny have gotten together, at last. Exams have began and are now finished. I believe I passed everything. Now only one year to go before I graduate. I've finally made my first successful wand. Made of ash wood with a unicorn hair core. Nine and three quarter inches long.

Raquelle and Sean passed their exams. I heard from my uncle. The council is still remaining neutral. But if anyone threatens Draco's life, all vampires will defend him. I have to get him away from this war. Somewhere safe. Him and his mother. Easier said then done.

Anyway, I am hanging out with Ron and Hermione. Harry is with Dumbledore again, but I don't ask them questions about it. "How are things?" Hermione asks me.

"They are ok, I am sorry I can't help" I tell them.

"We understand" she tells me.

"I don't" Ron states and we both look at him. "Werewolves and Giants have chosen a side. Why not your kind?" he asks me.

"My kind aren't the only ones neutral in this war. Centuar, Goblins, and Merepeople are neutral also" I tell him. "As a part vampire I have to obey their rules and laws. They have chosen to remain neutral and I must do the same" I state. "Besides things are more complicated then you know Ron" I add.

"She's right" Hermione agrees.

"But if he threatens those under my protection at this school I will act" I state.

"You mean the two first years that follow you around?" Ron asks.

"Not just them, like I said. It's complicated" I tell him. "I am praying you guys win and end this war soon. So that we can finally live in peace and put everything behind us" I state.

"I pray for the same thing" Hermione states. Just then Harry appears. Looking frantic. "Harry, are you ok?" Hermione asks.

"I'm fine" he tells her and races upstairs to his dorm. He was back in seconds. He skids to a halt in front of us. "I've got to be quick," he tells us.

"Harry, hold on a moment" I tell him and get up. "I can't hear this, I wish you luck with whatever you're doing. Be careful and stay safe" I tell him. Before leaving the trio. I stand by the window as they talked. Whatever they are discussing, Hermione looks horrified. Something tells me, something bad is gonna happen tonight. I must protect Raquelle and Sean. I must protect Draco. But I can't let anyone know, vampires must remain neutral until the council chooses a side.

"What's going on?" Raquelle asks as she joins me with Sean.

"You both must remain in the common room tonight. Keeps your wands at the ready. I must check on Draco, then I will be back" I tell them. "No matter what you hear, see or smell. Don't leave this tower, am I clear?" I ask them.

"Yes" they say and go back to their friends. I notice Harry had left. Hermione and Ron are now talking to Neville & Ginny. I leave the common room and head for the room of requirement.

"Draco" I say when I see him about to enter the room and he freezes. "Don't do this" I tell him pleadingly. "You can leave this war behind. You and your mother. Come with me and my kind will protect you both" I tell him.

"I must do this, he'll kill me if I don't. He'll kill my mum" he states. "I have no choice" he tells me.

"You always have a choice" I tell him.

"You can't protect me, if you do. He'll come after you, your uncle and he'll kill your grandfather" he tells me.

"He has him" I state. "Draco, we can figure this out together. Just take my hand and we can save your mother & my grandfather" I say holding out my hand to him.

"I'm sorry, I must do this. Please protect yourself" he tells me and enters the room. Shutting the door behind him. I curse. No doubt he locked the door and I mustn't be seen taking sides. I can't protect Draco without appearing to side with Voldetmort and his deatheaters. I can't protect my friends with out appearing to side with the Order. I must talk to my uncle. I head up to the astronomy tower.

"Uncle!" I call and he appears. "Something is going down tonight. I think Deatheaters will invade Hogwarts" I tell him. "Dumbledore has left and Draco has been working on something all year" I state.

"With Dumbledore gone, this would be a perfect time to strict. But you know we must remain neutral" he tells me.

"But he is my mate and my friends are here!" I cry. "If I do nothing, I could lose them all" I state. "I tried to convince Draco to stop, that we could protect him and his mother. But he won't listen and my friends will fight to defend Hogwarts. I can't just do nothing" I tell him.

"You must" he tells me. "Otherwise you will never see Draco or your friends again. You will never leave the vampire world" he tells me. I look at him shocked. "I'm sorry Riana, but this is how it must be" he tells me.

"He has my grandfather. Voldemort he has him. I know he isn't a vampire, but he is family" I tell him. "Vampires protect their own, and he is my family. Doesn't he deserve our help?" I ask him.

"What of Draco? He is your mate" he reminds me. "He is with Voldemort, who kidnap your grandfather. If we help either, we'll be targeted. I know you want to rescue your grandfather and protect Draco. And you're friends, but you can't have it all" he tells me.

"It's not fair" I tell him as tears fill my eyes.

"Life isn't fair" he tells me. "Protect your charges and the other gryffindors in your common room. That is all you can do, right now. But I promise your grandfather will be free and no harm will come to Draco or his mother" he assures me. "I must inform the council of this" he adds and hugs me. Before leaving.

I curse and return to the common  room. It wasn't until after everyone else was asleep that they arrived. I could hear the fight that had broken out. I grip my wand tighter as students start to wake up. "What's going on?" a few ask me.

"The school has been invaded by deatheaters. Get your wands and be ready to defend yourselves" I tell them. They all rush and I cast protective charms around the tower. Then stand by the portrait hole ready to attack any who'd dear try to enter. I'm soon flanked by Dean, Seamus, Katie and other D.A members. "Stun anyone who tries to enter" I tell them. They nod their heads.

"First years, pair off with an older student. Fifth year or older. The rest of you pair off. Protect each other. The shield charm is Protego and to stun someone it's stupefy. Practice the pronunciation and be ready for anything" I tell them. "D.A, with me. We will guard the corridor, no one enters the common room" I tell them. "When we return, I will knock like this" I tell the others. I knock the rhythm of Godric Gyrffindor. They nod and I leave with the others.

Some deatheaters appeared. But we drove them away. They appeared to want to go somewhere. I soon hear a scream. I see Katie looking out the window in horror. "What is it?" Dean asks her.

"The mark" she says and we head over. We gasp when we see the dark mark above the astronomy tower. Please don't let it be Draco or my friends.

"We must return to the common room" I tell them.

"Maybe we can help" Dean states.

"We must protect the younger students, lets go" I tell them and lead the way. When we arrive. I do the knock and say the password. We are let in and I deflect a stunner. "Just us" I assure the others. 

"What's going on?" Sean asks.

"We saw the mark" Raquelle adds.

"We don't know, we will remain here for now. Until Professor McGonagall or an adult arrives. Stay with your partners" I tell them. They all nod and we wait for news.
