CHAPTER 47: Dominating the match.

And now, we're beginning the match.

We got our referee from the second year's class. They are classmates of the upper class men girls I picked for my team, who are having their PE class right now also.

The winner will be decided on who can score to 10 first.

The whistle blew, the match started and the ball got thrown in the air for the jump ball.

Yahiko got this. Out of the five of us he's the highest jumper.

The enemy team(Soba Hito's team) planed out everything including their roles and positions in the game.

They were expecting the jump ball for Yahiko grabbing the ball first. However.

In mid air. They were surprised to see me jumping higher than Yahiko and got a full grasp of the basketball first.

I grabbed the ball then pass it to the girl behind me. That means we are now on the offensive.

When the girl behind me receives the ball, she charged forward. However, the ball got quickly stollen away by Hakuto.

Hakuto is now on the offence followed by his team mates. He passed the ball to Kaido then Kaido performed a layup.

The first score was given to team Soba making the score 1-0.

Soba Hito's team tapped each other's back and high fived in a good job gesture.

The 2nd round started. The ball got passed to me then I charged.

Kaido tried to defend me but I swiftly passed by doing a cross over.

"Stop him!"

Well I didn't know it was called a cross over at the time since I was a total beginner.

Just after passing Kaido, Shiki is already prepared on defend against me. However.

"Wait! Where's the ball..."

Everything happened so fast that they didn't notice what I did during the cross over.

They did not notice that I have already passed the ball to the girl behind my back.

While they got distracted looking for who took possession of the ball, I charged forward.

The girl who now holds the ball then tried to shoot at the three pointer line and threw it in the air.

However, it didn't go in and bounced off the ring.

I tried to do what you call an Alley Oop but the ring is higher than I had expected so my jump was a little short for a dunk.

So I ended up only doing an improvised layup.

The ball went in and scored.

"Yey"

The girls high-five for scoring.

Soba Hito's group was surprised. Everything happened so quickly and didn't expect that kind of play from a total armature.

"Did he lie when he said he doesn't know how to play?"

"Guys... I thing we might have to take this game a little more seriously."

Seeing us score was out of their expectations.

They thought it would be an easy victory, but now that we scored they though they might have a little challenge dominating the game.

The score is now tied to 1-1.

Soba Hito passed the ball to Kaido then dribbled and quickly charge to our side of the court.

Seeing how the girls don't have the ability to defend well, he charged in with confidence.

The ball was then passed to Yahiko and tried to shoot a three pointer shot but it misses.

I rebounded the ball then passed it to one of the girls.

It got stolen right away by Shiki then pass it to Kaido who's already waiting under the ring.

Kaido then performed a layup and another point was added to Soba's team.

The score is now 2-1.

The ball was passed to me then I dribbled.

I tried to play a little with the tempo on how I bounce the ball as if to test something.

I see.

I then charged forward then did a three pointer but it was blocked easily by Kaido.

"You're completely open" He said.

The ball bounces off then they took possession of the ball.

They charged again and took another score.

The score is now 3-1.

I passed the ball to my teammate then. It quickly got stolen.

Kaido who possesses the ball got cocky and tried to show off by shooting a fadeaway.

The ball went in making the score 4-1.

Our team's hold the ball yet again and now, the girls are trying to play aggressively and trying their best. They also want to score as well.

Currently, because of the enemy team making a gap, it made them angry and all the more competitive.

They charged and try passing but was easily snatched away by Kaido then passed it to Soba.

Soba smiled.

Soba then pull off a jump shot. The ball went high up in the air then the ball went in without even touching the ring.

The score is now 5-1.

"Hm, I may not be as good as my friends but I'm confident enough in my shooting skills"

Although Soba Hito performs the least when it comes to running while dribbling, he was confident by his shooting capability as demonstrated just now.

We're playing so well that it probably looks like the skill gap was huge.

I bet we look so athletic right now in front of the viewers.

The enemy team were looking at each other nodding, as if talking telepathically saying that their plan is going smoothly.

With the four point gap and with only five points left, and judging by our performance and the momentum of the play into account, they were thinking the game was already theirs.

Alright. I think I've seen everything I needed. I guess it's time to take this game a little more seriously.

My team mate passes me the ball then I charged forward.

Kaido tried to defend me. However, just like the first time I did a cross over but this time a complete one without passing the ball.

Passing through Kaido, Hakuto is behind ready to defend.

Before he can get any closer to my position, I did a fade away then bank the shot.

With the ball going in the hoop. The score is now 5-2.

"What just happened...?!"

"Your kidding, right...?"

"That wasn't a move an armature playing for the first time can pull"

"Was he secretly a starter player in middleschool?"

The sudden improvement in my skill level changed dramatically comparing from the previous scores.

They were surprised because, as far as they know, I only knew how to play just recently after they taught me.
