Chapter 75: A Sudden Challange

After school.

School ended without the teachers coming back to resume classes.

You just gotta wonder. What could be the meeting all about? They were making a huge fuss about it after all, calling for an urgent meeting and such.

Well, it's probably none of my concern if it isn't anything shadow hero related.

Anyways, school just ended. And right now, Mocha-san and I are changing out of our indoor shoes near the school entrance.

As I mentioned already, Mocha-san's shoe locker was next to mine so we're currently next to each other as we change out of our indoor ones.

Looking at her right now, I'm still in disbelief on how well things turned out to be earlier. By that I meant the 'revelation scene' and how well it got executed.

To think that someone would actually go along with my antics with such passion.

This just goes to show how much Ayaka's advice of how a shadow hero should act like is in fact actually coming into fruition.

This time, I really feel like my shadow hero character is actually going somewhere. It like I finally found my flow this time around.

Well, putting that aside for now. What really surprised me was, this transfer girl named Mocha Tsukiyo-san.

To think she followed through my hints and even go along with my 'revelation' roleplay.

She even goes as far as to do a dogaze all on her own even though I just told her to kneel just in one knee. You know, like a knight pledging his allegiance.

I did not expect her to go all out and get into character so deeply. Her acting was so good it almost felt like she's genuinely begging to be my disciple. [She was genuinely begging to be his disciple.]

She really gave it her all in that improv. Could she actually be ..secretly a chuunibyou?

In any case, I better meet her expectations as her master.

Mocha-san just stared at me cluelessly wondering, 'What could he be thinking right now?' 'Is it a method to make me popular?' or somewhere along those lines.

After changing out of our indoor to our casual shoes, we proceeded to head out of the school building.

The moment we stepped out, something unexpected greeted us, and probably nobody else in the school would entirely.

All of a sudden, near the entrace, there was a big square leveled platform set up which a lot of students are crowding over. 

It wasn't there before earlier this morning so it stick out like a sore thumb for us who goes here in this school.

However, what really draws the crowd's attention was something else entirely.

At the center of what seems to the focus of the crowd's attention. There was a guy.

Judging by how people seems to know his name, he seemed kinda famous.

"Hey. Isn't that Hidetoshi Fumidai-Kun?!"

"Oh my god. It really is!"

"Who's the handsome dude. Is he famous?"

"Are you kidding. You didn't know? He's only the most controversial celebrity since last year for being a young prodigy. His name is Hidetoshi Fumidai-kun."

"Fumidai ..Ah! You mean that Fumidai guy who got replaced in Haruka's photoshoot?"

"Yes. That one."

People on the crowd talked about the said person who was at the center of attention of the crowd.

[Narrator.] Hidetoshi Fumidai. Last year, at the age of 15. He popped out of nowhere and became a young artist know for possessing great talents and of top of that, superior looks and a heavenly voice as his main arsenal.

Thanks to his rich and influential parents, it was easy for him to debut in the entertainment industry as a young genius within the celebrity world.

Because of his perfectly good looks and variety of talents, he only became the most demanded newcomer in the entertainment industry.

However. Due to his hard personality. He was a hard person to do work with witch was a turn off to many others.

From being raised in a very fortunate household, and being overly praised by his many admirers. It led him to develop an ego which made him think he's superior to everybody else.

Even though he has a hard personality, his talent is certainly no joke.

His face, talent, and specially his voice are specially exceptional so people just pass his personality off as one of his quirks that made him stand out on the entertainment industry.

It gave him a lot of exemptions on a bunch of controversial things that he's done.

However, when he got replaced in Haruka Fujisato's Photoshoot, mostly everyone agreed that he deserved it. As Haruka Fujisato's influence is not much less than his on the industry.

Because things didn't turn out the way he wanted to, it took a huge hit on his ego. That was why he wanted to meet the guy who apparently replaced him in the photoshoot.

He then went on a search for the guy who replaced him so he could assert his dominance and ended up coming to Hokkyokusei High, knowing he'll meet him there by the information given by a secret informant.

He wanted to prove a point and show the world that he cannot be replace by some random nobody he hasn't even met or heard off before. [End of narration.]

As we got closer and closer to the crowd. Mocha-san and I discovered what the commotion was all about.

At the center of the stage, there was a pretty looking boy who seemed to be just about the same age as us.

Infront of the microphone stand from where he stood. He(the boy name Hidetoshi Fumidai), holds the microphone in his hands and announce to the crowd clearly and loudly.

"TO THE GUY WHO CALLS HIMSELF AS PHANTOM!"
"SHOW YOUR SELF!"
"I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!!!"

He said with an irritated and frustrated tone, asking for a duel with a person who call himself as Phantom.

Amongst the crowd who heard him. I, Yukiya Saitowas there ..sinisterly grinning as if, I was actually hoping for something like this to happen.

Where all eyes could see, and everything is out on the open.

Today, the world shall know the name that is 'Phantom'.

I, AM... HERE.

...Hmm, I may have said that last line out loud.
