Chapter 76: The Same Person

"I ..am ...(mumbling)"

I may have said that last line out loud.

I'm not sure if Mocha-san overheard it or not. But either way, I just want to let everybody know, it was intentional.

"M-Master. D, did you say something?"

When Mocha-san turned her head around ...I was no longer there.

"Eh? W, where did he go?" Mocha-san wonders in confusion. 

He was just here a second ago.

Without a trace, Yukiya Saito was nowhere to be found on the scene.

On the other hand, at the center focus of the crowds attention.

Hidetoshi Fumidai, the young talent of the entertainment industry beggan to rant on the stage about the guy who calls himself Phantom.

"Phantom, present yourself. I already know you were here. There's no more point in hiding."

Hidetoshi Fumidai shouts as his patience got thinner and thinner.

"I came here to prove that I, Hidetoshi Fumidai is better than you in every aspect!"

"To think that they would choose a no name nobody like you over me. Me?! Hidetoshi Fumidai? Don't make me laugh!"

"They must have been delusional for thinking you were qualified enough to have ever replace me. The only person who could stand on equal terms with someone like Haruka."

A minute has already passed since and there's still no sign of the guy called Phantom showing up on the scene.

"Come on. Come out and face me already. I'm getting tired of waiting!"

Hidetoshi's impatience is starting to show in his face. He seemed irritated and angry.

He then stopped to thing for a second. Then proceeded to resort to maybe taunting might work.

"Oh, could it be that ..maybe you're scared..?! What a coward."

In the middle of Hidetoshi Fumidai's ranting, a cylindrical tube with excessive smoke coming out from one end rolled down to his feet. It was a smoke bomb.

The smoke fogged the entirity of the stage which cause everybody confusion and slightly panicked.

What is going on? is what everyone was wondering.

"W-What's this ..W, what is going on?"

Hidetoshi Fumidai was confused on what is going on right now exactly? Why is there smoke. They didn't arranged for this.

"Could this be a terrorist attack?'" or so some of the onlookers at the scene was thinking out of worry.

But then.

Kukuku ...KA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

A loud and ominous diabolical laughter could be heard emitting through out the stage. But from where?

There was smoke everywhere so it was hard to pinpoint the exact location of the voice was coming from.

The voice then spoke once more.

"Me? Scared? Don't make me laugh."

The voice said, with a rough and deep tone still location unknown.

Standing at the center of the smoke confused, Hidetoshi Fumidai asked for the voice's identity

"W, who are you? R-reveal yourself!"

Kukuku... KU HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

Unbeknown to anyone present for it was out of their visions. At the top of the bars, the open roof of the stage.

A boy in red and black clothing wearing a cloak was ominously standing from above. 

With his back turned, he jumped backwards and fall head first and landed on his feet at the very last second.

With the edge of his long cloak spreading out like a giant fan. The moment he hit the stage floor, his cloak fanned out the smokes out off the stage. The smoke cleared out revealing his full appearance.

With red long coat that seemed to be a modified uniform of those who attend Hokkyokusei high school, wearing a hood over his head, and a mask covering his eyes to nose making his mouth the only part that was visible.

"Wait, you are?!"

"I am, Phantom! The hero who lives in the shadows."

The guy proclaiming himself as Phantom strikes a typical chuunibyou pose and announce to everyone present that, "I am, Phantom. The hero who lives in the shadows."

Are you seeing this, Mocha-san? How was my 'Mysterious Character Grand Entrance'.

This is a sight of an anonymous/mysterious/shady character suddenly showing up in a falashy entrance.

I bet everyone is wondering now. Who is that mysterious guy. He looks so cool, or so I would like to think.

Mocha-san on the crowds watching over the scene noticed that.

W..wait, ..that hood ...Isn't that?!-"

Yes, that is right. The hood I was wearing is the same one I was wearing from yesterday (from the hood incident).

Why did I suddenly applied the hood in my phantom attire? Well, nothing in particular, really. The hood just kinda grew on me. I looked way more mysterious and sinister with the hood on like this.

The reason why I disappeared on Mocha-san earlier without her even noticing was for.

Firstly, it's fricking cool. Suddenly disappearing on someone once they turn their eyes away was so mysterious character like.

Secondly, and is probably the main reason. I have still yet to officially introduce myself to Mocha-san with my identity as Phantom.

Remember the time I mumbled "I.. am... (mumbling)." Then suddenly disappearing on Mocha-san. It was a foreshadowing to when I introduce myself as "I am, Phantom."

Wearing the hood she discovered from yesterday. It was an obvious hint to deduct that Phantom and I were the same person.

"Y, Yukiya-kun... is Phantom..?!"

With the obvious hints, Mocha-san had realize that Phantom and Yukiya Saito, is in fact the same person.
