CHAPTER 34: Surprise Test

After getting senpai's injury treated, we send each other off and now finally returning to our classrooms... Although it has already been 20 minutes since the last bell rang for first period in the afternoon...

While walking down the hall, my mind is filled with thoughts about everything that has happened thus far.

I can't believe it. After switching into a normal student character, everything seems to be falling in to place just like the ones in the shows.

No one's avoiding me anymore so that must mean I've already blended in with the crowds perfectly.

That's what I though. Even though I think I blended pretty well, senpai still somehow managed to seen through my act.

Passing trough the halls, some students secretly take a glimpse of me at their window. But I payed it no mind still lost in my thought.

So I take what happened was. At first they thought we're enemies [Referring to when they were trying to catch the weird person.]

And now their unsure [Senpai being flustered / Being helped by the shadow hero].

I also got to save the good guy so. Technically speaking, Phantom helped the good guy.

And when she laughed at the end... It must have mean that she's now marked me as her target. It's basically like saying the line of "We will meet again" foreshadowing... I'll take this as mission [Blend in with the crowds] is proceeding fantastically.

It was kind of disappointing there's no spy though... It would have been much fun if there was another chuunibyou too.

I'm now finally in front of our classroom. And, at that moment I opened the door...

When I entered the classroom, the air inside the classroom felt somewhat heavy.

Everyone of them have papers on their desk and seemingly putting on a troubled expression in their faces.

When I looked in front of the classroom, there's already a teacher standing.

Well, I've been gone for a while so it's only natural for the teacher to be there. However...

It's teacher Tsubasa!

I know where this is going as soon I saw who's the teacher infront was.

Compared to Teacher Kyoshi Hageshi who's always asking questions at the end of the lesson, Teacher Tsubasa is known for giving out surprise test after he finished giving the lesson for the month which just happens to be our last meeting, the last week before the summer break.

You see, every month here in Hokkyokusei High School, there's something called examination week.

When every last week of the month arrived, teachers used that last week to give the test altogether in the span of three days.

Those three days are half days with only exams in the morning. It was for student's to use that vacant afternoon to prepare themselves for the other upcoming exams.

Student's are given one hour to answer every subject. Calculating the time, if you devid it by how much exam there is in one day, being twelve subjects. Then there would be four test in every single test day.

Teacher Tsubasa however. He gives the lessons two weeks in advance. and hand out the test a week before the actual date. Right now we were suprice as to why he was giving it so soon.

We had just returned from the summer break and the next exam should still be a month away.

But actually, he's testing everyone if we retained what he learned last summer break. But we didn't know that. So everyone was taking the test seriously.
