Arizona's P.O.V:
March was finally here. The days were finally starting to get warmer and the snow that we had gotten that ruined our Valentine's Day had completely melted away. Calliope and I are three days away from saying 'I Do'. We decided that we didn't want anything too big. Just a traditional exchanging of the vows at City Hall with my brother and Teddy as our witnesses. Teddy even agreed to take Noah for two nights so we could have some alone time. Just the two of us. It wasn't ideal, but it was necessary considering it was short notice for all of us and the fact that my brother would be taking off to boot camp that following Monday. I'm still unhappy with his decision, but as Callie pointed out, he was a grown man and wanted to do what was best for him and his family. So, I was forced to put on a happy smile and go along with it.
"Arizona, I'm home," I hear Callie call out.
"I'm in the nursery," I shout out, "Mama's home, NoNo," He flashes me his own little Robbins smile and lets out a loud squeal. I just laugh as I finish getting him dressed for the night.
"Hey," Callie says, entering the nursey, a bright smile on her face.
"Hey, how was your day?" I ask, fastening the last button on his onesie.
"It was good. I talked to Doug; everything is squared away for Friday and this weekend. He's going to cover the days, as well as Monday since we have to be at the airport to drop Tim off, but he said that he will make sure everything gets covered,"
"Good. Is he disappointed that he won't be there?" I ask her, lifting Noah off the changing table and handing him to her.
"A little bit, but he understands," she says.
"You know, we could still have a little party, like a small gathering that same night. Then just do something at a later time,"
"No, it's okay. We agreed on something small," she says.
"Okay, well, tell him I'm sorry and that we will make it up to him," I tell her.
"So, did you get yourself anything to wear for next week?" she asks, as we leave the nursery.
"Not yet. I've been preoccupied with Noah today. I think he's teething because he's been wanting to cuddle all day,"
"Okay, well try and go tomorrow. We're getting married in three days and don't want you showing up at City Hall naked," she jokes, "I mean, I wouldn't mind, but I'd rather not have anyone else see my soon to be wife naked," I just laugh at her, then make myself comfortable on the couch, then Callie taking the seat next to me.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" I ask, a little bit of seriousness in my voice. She gets Noah situated on her lap and then looks at me.
"I'm most definitely sure," she says, leaning over, placing a kiss on my cheek, "you're not having second thoughts, are you?"
"What? No. Not I'm not having second thoughts. I just..." I shrug.
"Just what?"
"I just never thought I'd ever get married as young as I am, that's all. Teddy got married over a year ago. I just told myself that I wouldn't do that,"
"Arizona, if you don't want to do this, we don't have to," she says to me.
"No, I want to, Calliope. I really do. I want to be your wife," I say, assuring her. I give her a shy smile, then lean in, connecting her lips with mine.
The days flew by without warning and before we knew it, Friday was upon us. Calliope and I were getting married in just a few short hours and I couldn't be more excited.
