"Keep your shit up Paxton. I throughly enjoy it." I smirked again and he rolled his eyes.

"I'm not gonna be that 'i'm obsessed over Mercedes' persons anymore."

"Sure. I know you're obsessed with me." I bit my lip back at him, and giggled.

He looked frustrated that he wasn't getting to me like usually and that i was giving him the same energy back.

"Hey. Giving me a mad look won't help. You almost had me. You ruined it." I grinned and walked away to leave it at that, but continued grinning bc he was finally frustrated with me, and it made me happy

"Can i go to the locker room?" We still had to wait a little bit for people to finish but mostly everyone was finished.

"Yeah, go ahead. We'll be up there." I nodded and started walking my way up to the locker room. I grabbed my phone that was laying near the track fence and went onto it.

Beto: Listen. I know you may not want a relationship or anything because last time you got into it not completely over Paxton and you werent to be completely over him before. But we can always talk and hang out as besties, but i just wanna take you on a dinner date one last time, just as friends but let's get dressed up and have fun

I laughed at my phone and messaged him back saying that was fine and i appreciate him saying all of that too.

Mercedes: That's a good idea. When and Where.

Beto: Bestia. Be ready at 7.

I hearted the message and turned my phone off to get changed in the locker room. I decided to just wait in there until the bell rang so i didn't have to face Paxton.

The last bell rang and Devi met me very soon after class.

"Hey what you doing today."

"Going on a date with Beto. A last final date to say 'we're scared to get anywhere' if that makes any since. We are forever going to be besties so we're just going as friends."

"Damn. I was gonna see if you wanted to hang out. Why won't you just date Beto?"

"Why would i? I love that man from the bottom of my heart, but last time i wasn't completely over Paxton and i'm not this time either, so i rather just figure my shit out, then have the possibilities of hurting Beto again."

"Makes sense." I put my things in my locker and looked around. Then shut it.

"Im going to go Devi. I'll see you tomorrow."

When i got home. I searched my closet to find a good dress for tonight. His favorite color is purple. Weird but it is, so i wore a purple dress just for him.

I fixed a little bit of stuff with my face and thought i looked fine so i went down stairs to see Beto already in my house waiting for me.

This man never seems to not please me. He had flowers in his hand and a huge smile on his face. I smiled back at him. They were white roses, they were dope and my favorite flowers.

"Thank you handsome."

"It's nothing. Let's go now. We don't wanna be late." I giggled and walked out to his car where he took the time to rush over to the car door, and open it before i could.

He ran over to the other side of the car once i got in and he hoped in and took off. I kept a smile on my face because he always knew how to treat a girl. Always. The next girl i hope treats him well, not like how i did.

I never deserved him and i can admit that.

If i wasn't so heartbroken, not even heartbroken, if I wasn't so phased every time Paxton made a slight interaction with me this could be different, but Beto deserves someone who treated him the way he treated everyone. And i cant be that person.

"You look beautiful tonight. You always look beautiful."

I couldn't help but to have a huge grin on my face. "You as well." He smiled bigger and i looked at him. "Thank you for this. I do really appreciate it."

When we arrived. I of course has to be the red jeep that belongs to the devil. I wonder who he is here with. But right now, it didn't matter to be as i was here to enjoy the night with Beto.

But my mind got me thinking. He is probably here with Aneesa, which doesn't make me feel any better  about myself now. She was always in the way when we were about to fix ourself and he is still choosing to go out with her.

It doesn't feel good.

"Are you okay?" Beto said as he parked the car and put his hand on my thigh. "You zoned out." I sighed.

"I am. I will be. Okay? This is for us Beto."

He grinned and got out of the car and sprinted to my side to get the door open for me.

We came in and the hostess greeted us. "Reservation for Beto." She had someone lead us to our table.

"Did you guys know it's couple night?" Beto and I looked at each other and giggled.

"No, we did not. We didn't know of such thing."

She laughed, "Well, beware because your waiter/waitress is going to go around asking couples, or people who look like couple questions with a microphone. It should be started soon."

She sat us down and we began to look at the menu. Then we heard a long buzz. I looked at Beto with a confused look.

Our waiter came over to our table, and checked up on us. "Hi I am George. I am your waiter today. Is there anything i can get you for a drink?"

"I'll take a diet." I said.

"I'll take a lemonade."

"Coming right up. I'm not bad in 10 minutes please excuse me because of the couple night.

"It's alright no rush." Beto said and we continued to look at the menu.

"Alright guest in the house. Tonight is couple night." Cheer from the crowd arouse. "If you are new here and not for sure what couple night is. We have a number of people around your area coming around with a microphone asking questions to the lovely couples here. You may ask why. We just want to recognize the couples here and there achievements! Alright, Betty. You here?" A girl from around the corner of our table waved. "Go find your couple!"

She started to walk around a when she saw us her eye lit up. "How about you cute couple!" Beto and I's eye widen.

"We are actually not a couple." Beto has spoke up.

"Oh well. You guys should be! Cmon, why else would you be out on a fancy dinner with each other!" The crowd laughed. "Alright then, that's okay. You guys have a nice night!"

"Conner! Go find your couple!" The lady in the front spoke again

"What are your guys name?"

"Paxton and Aneesa." My eye widened, and Beto gave the "oh no" look.

"Alright, first question. How long have you guys been together?"

Been together wtf?

"Ever since she moved here. She had my eyes as soon as i saw her?" The crowd ah as well as my stomach drop.

He been with her the whole time?
